Nothing like an unauthorized $5 tip tacked on to your $14 bagels. As an aside, I wasn’t not going to write a review because there were already no customers in there and I did not want to hurt their business. But I think people may care to know about this. Here are some details about my experience.

The menu selection was just okay Most of the items on the food truck menu that people love are absent on this menu. My boyfriend asked about the philly cheese and they said they did not have it. So we finally decided to go with 2 bacon egg and cheese bagels. They did not ask what type of bagel we wanted. We both usually order plain. The bagels were on multigrain but we decided to give them a go anyway. At this point we planned not to go back because they did not have most of the food truck items on the menu.

The prices are high $14 for two bagels seemed a little steep but we had an open mind and to their credit the bagels were good. Not $14 worth of goodness but enough not to be disappointed. The food is the reason why I gave 2 stars instead of one.

Unauthorized charges Three days later my boyfriend saw a charge on his phone thanking him for a $5 tip. He was not asked to verify the tip amount. It was just charged. I don’t know if it was a dine in fee or what (in which case they should have informed us of that and we would have taken it to go). Needless to say we will not go back. We will tell our friends to...

To be fair, the pastrami sandwich was solid, though the corn soup was water-based and heavily herbed, I think I just expected a dynamite sandwich and a chowder based on the reviews.

My issue was with the atmosphere yesterday morning. It began beautifully as I took a table overlooking the garden as my food was being prepared. Besides me there was just the hostess (I assume owner) and a group of chatting moms.

Then, a new voice entered the conversation, and the conversation turned to the Israel-Hamas war. "But innocent people were mutilated," one of the women says. Things get more graphic. Then the original voice says "well to me they are freedom fighters and it is ok!" I look over, and the voice that's instigating and defending Hamas in this conversation is the OWNER.

I understand people share differing political views, but the atmosphere of this place felt like it went from Alice in Wonderland to a Hamas rally by the owner in ten minutes. I left in disgust because of the feeling I got as it changed from my Aunts living room to a victim-blaming frat house one week into geopolitics 101. Probably would've been 4 stars if I'd had my...

Went here and it was understaffed not busy orders a bowl of soup and two sandwiches. After 25 min went to the service station to ask for a refund because my husband was done waiting for grilled cheese sandwiches. Server who is also the host/bus person/server was taking a while to even go do her job and was standing around a lot. The manager who was coming to see me to give me our refund had time to talk with there friends for 8 minutes. And when we asked for the refund my spouse had already walked out to find something fast to get manager come with the food which o could tell by the way the cheese looked had been sitting. They were like your foods done I had to say sorry but my spouse has already left and we would like a refund. I the manger then said it is a restaurant it can take while. I let her know I used to be a chef and cook and grilled cheese sandwiches should not take over 25 min to make. Will not go back and would also say don't go. Also people who were sitting outside had to come in to grab their own silverware...

We got tea, soda & caprese paninis with bacon. Did was great. Seating was messy. Every take was dirty & they weren't busy at all. Only two tables filled. We waited around 15 minutes to get someone to help us. We will call her waitress no. 1. She said she'd be right back so she could make a drink. We said ok. She came back, didn't realize we hadn't been there before but even when we told her that, she didn't really tell us how things worked so we had to ask more in detail. We ate our food, which was really yummy. The chairs are super cute but uncomfortable. Waitress no. 2, we asked if the tea came with refills. She seemed perturbed, & said no, she didn't think so. So we asked is there a way to find out for sure? She then rolled her eyes, sighed an exasperated groan then said fine & went to ask. We waited about 7 minutes, & just left. She walked up as we were leaving, to where she rolled her eyes & very audibly sighed again.

I visited Say Cheese at 11 AM on Saturday June 1st and was very disappointed with the service. After spending a considerable amount of time waiting at the ordering station, it took 15 minutes to receive my matcha. Unfortunately, the server spilled the drink by squeezing the cup, which made me reluctant to accept the same beverage. When I approached the manager to address the issue, I was met with immediate rudeness. Rather than preparing a new drink, she attempted to pour the existing, melted-ice drink into a new cup. Given her behavior, I requested a refund and decided to leave. To my dismay, the manager began yelling at me in front of other customers, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer, even from their previous location, but this experience has greatly impacted my perception of their service. Stay away from them if you want to have a peaceful weekend breakfast.

Talk about a place with potential. Very cute cafe/restaurant vibe, loved the decor and was very hopeful when I walked in. Unfortunately that’s where it ended. The service was fine, but the food wasn’t good. Ordered the grilled cheese combo with a small tomato soup, and a grilled cheese with bacon and a chicken soup. The grilled cheese’s were fine, basically a slice or two of cheese on grilled toast. On mine, one of the crusts was cut off for some reason. I ordered bacon on mine, and $3 for a slice of bacon seemed extreme, but when in DC…. The soups were honestly, pretty bad. The tomato soup had so many, and unnecessary spices, it honestly wasn’t good. The chicken soup was fine, but was overloaded with potato, lumps of chicken (not shredded or small), and other veggies.
