After shopping at the Albertsons in Weatherford, Texas, I stopped by the Starbucks to pick up a couple of drinks, cake pops & cookies. Barista Sarah was not very nice to the customer in front of me, to me, nor to the customer behind me! Understandably, she was a bit frustrated being the only person with 7 customers in line, but when she had a difficult time putting cake pops/cookies into a bag, I attempted to assist her by holding the bag steady so it wouldn’t continue to collapse (as it had done twice prior to my assistance). Sarah snapped at me, “I’ve got it!” When I continued to hold the bag steady, she again stated, “I said, I have it! I don’t need your help!” Prior to adding the cake pops to the bags, she had 3 added to the register, which I corrected her with, “My apologies Sarah, I only needed 2 cake pops, but you have 3 on the screen, could you please make that 2 not 3?” Sarah must not have liked what I said, because she replied with, “you said you wanted a birthday cake one, a chocolate one & a penguin one, which one was it?” I responded with, “I requested a birthday cake pop & a chocolate cake pop with the penguin face”. She sighed a deep sigh & fumbled with the computer keys to take it off. I told her “thank you” when she handed me my change, but received NO acknowledgement from Sarah was received. Usually when ordering from Starbucks I drop any change, & many times, dollars to the tip jar, but I had been so disappointed in the service, I felt a tip in this case was not deserving, whatsoever. When Sarah began to add whip cream after requesting “no whip cream” for my order, I reminded her “no whip cream please, Miss Sarah”. The small amount that was still left on the top she began to take it off with attitude & sighs, which I told her “don’t worry about it, the small amount would be fine”, but she said “I’m taking it off, since that’s what YOU wanted”. No, actually what I wanted was to be treated with kindness. I totally get that mistakes & frustration occur, but mistakes & frustration aren’t remembered-How you treat others is what leaves a lasting impression. Saying a simple “thank you” when someone assists you with holding a bag open or patronizing your store is an acceptable response, rather than the negativity so many received! I thought maybe Barista Sarah was like that just to me & the lady prior to me, as she, too, was short with the previous customer who asked questions about the sizes & the differences between flavors of drinks (despite being a part of your job), but even the customer after me received the Barista wrath. Although I couldn’t hear her order, Barista Sarah’s body language showed she was bothered & disgusted by the next customer’s order as well. Either multiple Baristas should work on the weekend or Sensitivity Training or Customer Service Training should be provided, in order to prevent negative attitudes towards customers. After getting my napkins & straws, as I departed, I said, “Thank you Miss Sarah, you have a Blessed Day”, I got nothing in return! I didn’t receive a “you too”, “thanks for coming”, “have a nice day”, NOTHING. It made me sad for the customers, the store & for Sarah! I got In my car telling my 11year old how not to treat others, EVER! I hope Barista Sarah was just having a bad moment/day & that’s not how she is everyday to her parents, her family, friends & people she cares about, because she is not very nice...
Read moreI put in a mobile order on Christmas Eve. I went to pick it up, and received the food I ordered, but waited for my drink for 40 minutes. It was very busy, and employees were stressed. I waited patiently, but after so long I was wondering if they had forgot to make my drink, or just messed up the order. There were several drinks sitting there for people with the same name as mine, but the drinks didn’t match what I ordered. My husband asked the girl making the drinks if she could check to see if there was a mobile order with my name on it in their system. The girl said “I am sure it is”, very flippantly, and kept working. So we waited. No drink came, so my husband politely asked again if she could please check on the order. She completely ignored him this time, and kept working. We know she heard him, but chose not to even respond. A few minutes later my husband asked again. She said “I am not doing that, somebody else can do it, but I’m not.” My husband told her she didn’t have to be so rude, we just wanted to know if I was even going to get my drink, or were we just wasting our time standing there for close to an hour. She said very rudely that they were busy, and she would not check in my order. She said “ And before you ask for a manager, I AM the manager. I’ll give you a refund for your drink, but I WON’T check for it.” Which is a weird thing to say if you are busy, since it would probably take a lot longer to do a refund than to simply look and see if an order is in your system. Then she started mumbling things to other employees. I could not believe someone with that poor attitude towards paying customers is a MANAGER of a store. I understand when people are busy, but to treat customers the way she did is completely unacceptable. I visit this store on nearly a daily basis, and until now, have never had a bad experience with their customer service. In fact, there are several employees there that are truly exceptional. I will still visit this store because of them. I hope senior management does something about this, because this person is not suited for customer service if she can’t handle customer issues any...
Read moreI'm a Starbucks person, and I recently moved to Weatherford from Grand Prairie. Since I started going to this Starbucks , I almost wish there was another drive through close to me. I've gone in almost every day for the past two weeks and I've gotten the worst service and attitudes. One of the times I had ordered my usual Ice Chai Tea Latte , which I get every single time. Well they had messed it up and it really did not taste like the real deal so I asked them if they could remake it. Okay so the second time it still taste horrible and bitter. And I said "hey I don't mean to be a pest but I don't think the mix is the correct one" and the girl said "well I'm making a chai tea latte (with attitude)have you ever had one ? Do you know what it taste like?" And I said "yes I get it every time" so third times the charm right ? Nope. Same thing. So I went over to the cashier and I said can I be refunded or order a different drink please and then a different girl goes over and checks the mix and it was the wrong one, like I had said. Then a few days later I come in and order an iced green tea and she had made me an iced geeen tea latte. I went over to ask if this was and iced green tea and she goes "yeah that's what you ordered ? You sure you're ordering the right thing" I don't know maybe it's just me but I really can't stand the way these employees talk to people when...
