Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Webster

We pulled up to the drive thru at 8:50 and there was 2 cars in front of me. They took forever, so after 6 mins we decided to go to inside. We got inside at 8:56 pm. I know they close at 9 pm. So, we just stood there waiting for someone to get our order. They told us that they were closed. Then I told them they havent yet. They said they couldnt take our orders because their ipad is full. By 8:58 pm, they had 2 orders left to do. I cant see why our two drinks was going to affect them. We literally had no one behind us. Last time, I came at 8:45 and I stayed at the drive thru window waiting to order for 10 mins. Then they had the audacity to say they closed in 5 mins when we were waiting 10 mins for them to take my order. Keep in mind, no one was in front of me. I don’t understand why the night shift are like that. We are literally fasting all day because of the holy month of Ramadan, so we wait all day to drink some coffee. By the time, I break my fast it is already 8:30 pm. Do yall want me to like fly here?? Why cant yall take an order while yall are still open and not “closed” like the workers say. I didnt want to leave a review after the first time, but now that its happened again, Im frustrated. Yall need to stop doing that. It is so annoying. I used to work at Starbucks, and trust me we would take orders sometimes after we close just because we cared about the customers. I can’t believe I have to compare genocide...

Drove by yesterday and Noticed the old chocolate bar bistro had been finally replaced by Black Rock Coffee Bar! Decided to give it a try today. Very nice spacious interior! Has a wood and metal modern industrial vibe. Can easily fit 30+ ppl inside, plus more seating outside. This place has a drive thru and it seems to do pretty fast but I’ll have to see the drive thru during peak hours to give an honest review of that. Very nice and clean with friendly staff. Now if your looking for food this is definitely not the place to go… the menu features only drinks with a few pastries. The pastries are locally made! Always a plus in my book! And I’m normally very picky about coffee (which severely limits me to just 1 or 2) but I found myself very interested in ALL of their favorites menu! I decided on the Mexican mocha (iced) and the almond crescent (recommended you the cashier lady) and both were very good! You can taste the spicy cinnamon and mocha! No overpowering of the other flavor so I’m very pleased. It’s really nice chill place to sit and relax and honestly we need more places like this in Bay Area. I’ll update more...

I caught a cold because I stayed there for three hours and it was FREEZING. And it wasn’t a one-time thing, I go often and is always too cold. Now I bring my puffy jacket and a scarf just to be inside working. Also, I find it true what other reviews say about the environment, last time the music was loud and annoying, it was some kind of fast techno beats and some overstimulating drum-and-base. I like the tables and couches in the lobby, they’re comfy, chic, perfect. The high ceilings and plenty of light would make it a good place to concentrate and study, but that music… and the temperature: the experience is half ruined. Also, don’t go on a Friday night if you want to study, but that’s on me for being a weirdo who studies on a Friday night. The drive thru goes fast and the baristas are extremely nice and friendly. The coffee is excellent and I would never ever buy Starbucks if there’s a Black Rock coffee close to me, I don’t recommend the green matcha latte though, that one’s better at Starbucks.
