A few bad reviews on here, but most seem to be from patrons who expected a Sze Chuan experience when arriving on the premises.. This is not Sze Chuan, and Sze Chuan is not open until midnight.
Once I ordered take-out from here about 15 minutes before closing time - too hungry to pay attention, I didn't realize that I had indicated on my order that I wanted the crunchy noodles in my Chop Suey (I believe.. I can't remember what dish it was exactly). Anyway, the "crunchy" noodles are actually those really dry noodles you should only ever eat on top of a salad - and here is why I'm giving these guys five stars.
They called me 2 minutes after I placed the order (almost instantly!) and asked me - are you SURE that you want the crunchy noodles? Really sure? Initially I huffed "Yeah! I want those crystal noodles!" But they patiently explained to me that no, crunchy noodles did not mean crystal noodles, and that I probably didn't want crunchy noodles in this dish. I'm very thankful they called - as a result, I had a tasty tasty meal with egg rolls as big as my head and tasty noodles, instead of receiving the order and subsequently being very sad (Crunchy noodles /= meal)
Definitely add these guys on your "late night drunchies take out" list - but don't if you're allergic to peanuts (egg rolls made with peanut oil, and BOY can you tell!). You get a lot of food for your money, too, so prepare...
Read moreWe got delivery. My advice: Get the egg rolls (so crispy and peanut buttery!) & BBQ pork fried rice, both were out of this world, and they will be a standard on all future orders!!! ❤️
Pot stickers were doughy and the filling was very good, exactly what I expected. The sauce with them was only okay, and a bit acidic for my taste. Still dipped a few times but didn’t drench like I often do.
Moo shu chicken was good and I’d order it again. It was wet rather than charred if you know what I mean, usually I prefer charred, so that’s why only said it was good and not amazing. The flavor was great, pancakes & sauce on the side were PERFECT!
If you get the Szechuan chicken careful not to bite into the peppers unless you want a REALLY extra spicy experience. They are not playing around with that little spicy icon!! Without biting directly into them, the dish is expectedly spicy / average level of spicy for this dish and VERY good. I don’t like spicy but the person I was with loves it. He bit into a whole better and ate it by mistake— needed 2 glasses of milk 😂🤦♀️ but he still went back and ate the rest, just avoided the...
Read moreI ordered the General Tso's lunch special. The egg drop soup was good, but everything else was a let down. Even the extra side of steamed jasmine rice was hard, how do you mess up jasmine rice?!
The general tso's chicken and the chicken fried rice just tasted off, as in maybe the chicken had gone bad? I don't know, it was awful. Which was surprising because it was one of the higher ranked Chinese Take Out places in the area on Grub Hub and Google. The food looked nothing like the pictures on Google. Won't be ordering from here again, because the food actually did make me sick. My body ejected it within 2 hours of eating. Restaurant did not want to refund me for the order, thankfully Grub Hub did. I shouldn't have to pay for food that caused...
