Today, I had an eye-opening and rather concerning experience at a local KFC in Jordan Landing that really made me question their food safety practices. On a day when I usually enjoy preparing a meal for my family, I decided to treat myself by picking up dinner instead. While I was waiting for my order, I took a moment to observe the kitchen staff as they prepared various menu items.
What struck me as particularly alarming was a young employee who was in charge of handling the fries. She seemed completely unaware of basic hygiene practices. Not only was she handling the fries with her bare hands, but I also noticed her lifting the fries to taste them directly from the serving container—an act that I found quite unsanitary. To make matters worse, throughout this process, she repeatedly wiped her hands on her clothes, which only added to my discomfort regarding the cleanliness of the food being served.
This observation raised significant red flags about the restaurant's commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. I couldn't help but think about what this could mean for the overall quality and safety of the food being served to customers. As a result of this experience, I left the establishment feeling uneasy and have decided that I will not be returning as a customer in the future. It was disappointing to witness such a lack of hygiene awareness in a place where food safety should be a...
Read more06/20/2018 @9:02pm: From the moment you walk in this place is filthy dirty. I feel like this store needs an adult at the store it’s all teenagers who are very rude. We waited 10 minutes to get our order taken because the guys were too busy talking.
My boyfriend and I decided to stay and eat and our K8 had very hard chicken. We decided not to say anything about it and just have the mashed potatoes and corn because a lady from the drove thru complained that her chicken was bad too and they seemed so annoyed by the fact that she needed their service. Once she left the teenage employees decided to talk very loud with each other and started saying “this dumb lady wanted me to make her fresh chicken and fill her mashed potatoes she’s crazy!” And say other things too, take note they had three friends that didn’t work their and laughing about it only one of the KFC employees was actually working and being nice.
I wouldn’t come back again. Knowing they talk bad about their customers right when they leave. It’s liek a high school hangout there with the employees having friends over and not working and making others wait because their conversations are far more important. It’s also disrespectful to have to sit and eat there as a customer and listening to the trash talk about the customers. I hope management can do something about it and not leave teenagers in control...
Read moreI’m saddened to have to post this unfortunate review of my most recent visit to this location. Went in and purchased a pot pie that had been a recent favorite, unfortunately after this recent visit it will be my last.
After eating the majority of my pot pie just a few bites left I took a bite and got a mouth full of bone with multiple shards of bones in one cluster shown in photo-that was left behind due to associate neglect which is a huge safety concern for severe damage or choking as a result, thankfully I immediately felt it in my mouth and wasn’t injured.
I immediately returned the pot pie and the gentleman who was in charge did give a refund and apologized but not sure staff was too concerned or not by this huge safety issue caused by negligence, accidents happen but this is a serious concern that hopefully this staff took the opportunity to learn from.
I’m now too fearful to probably ever order one again.
Also I asked and was informed these are in fact made in store from leftover chicken. Confirming this error by store employees themselves.
Hopefully these kids pay better attention when producing these pot pies.
Also this location has a terrible issue with greasy floors from kitchen especially in bathroom was noticeable as it was definitely noticeably slippery when walking in this establishment which is also a...
