I cannot deny that the ice cream was amazing. Everyone in our group of 7 got something different or combos of different ice creams. My only complaint is about who I believe to be the owner. We arrived a little early with one person ahead of us. The first thing we noticed was when she saw us she seemed pretty annoyed and said "we open at 3" and disappeared. Yes, we can read.... and because we can read, we read reviews that there can sometimes be a long line because the ice cream is so good. Call me crazy, but I expect someone to be flattered... not annoyed. Secondly, the first customer asked for a waffle bowl and was told they were completely out. Well, we were bummed but obviously not enough to leave the establishment. First customer told the (possible?) owner she was disappointed because she also READ reviews and asked about the waffle bowl shortage. Owner lady unphased explained her side, but man it didn't come without some sass. Which is a little funny because I came back to read more reviews and she gave a sassy response to someone else. "We can't do anything if you don't tell us, we could have at least refunded your money..." She didn't offer any resolution or refund for that lady. Just seems like everyone who is bringing their business is an inconvenience to her. The rest of the...
Read moreDelicious! Our family always makes it an emphasis to find the best ice cream when we are on vacation and this is the best in West Yellowstone! Made daily and locally we truly loved it! The standard Huckleberry ice cream was delicious and as you’ve probably already seen in Montana, Huckleberry is everywhere! We tried another but it was not even close to as good as the City Creamery! The chocolate, cookies and cream and Wedded Bliss was also fantastic! Though you will need to get there early in order to have your choice of flavors, as they run out quickly! So eat your dessert first as you wait to get into a restaurant, it’s well worth it! Oh and we’re going to buy one of her trucker hats too,...
Read moreThis is the only place in West Yellowstone that makes their ice cream in house. All other shops serve the same Wilcoxson’s brand. You can tell the difference! They had a flavor called caramel cookie crunch that’s a mix of their excellent cookies and cream with salted caramel. Wow!! Our family tradition is to try to find the best ice cream wherever we travel. The City Creamery is the winner in West Yellowstone. They even make their own waffle cones. So good! One star deduction is for portion size compared to price. Give us a man sized...
