A top-flight rock shop! Definitely the best in the area (and probably hundred+ miles in any direction). Excellent specimens, covering all price levels and interests, from kids to casual collectors to dedicated rockhounds. Nothing fake or artificially colored like you find in other nearby souvenir shops that happen to sell rocks along with t-shirts and other knickkacks. These people know what they sell and are unbelievably pleasant about it. We stopped by twice, with different people behind the counter, and everybody was always fantastic.

I was about to buy 2 dog stone statues 70ish USD each and asked what kind of stones itâs made of âcause I want to know the properties. The lady staff was helping but the man said âthatâs enoughâ when I asked for the third and fourth ones to be checked. He asked if a young man like me doesnât know how to check myself on the internet. I donât want to waste time so i left with a purchase of selenite 3.95 USD which I first intended to buy.

   Read moreI love this shop. These guys have Yogo sapphires and are one of the only shops that have them as faceted in actual settings. That Old Eagle store has them as rough stones, not real jewelry. Its a cute shop with so much stuff. Squash blossoms, knifes, antlers, some furs, native american decor, pottery. This is a great shop. I will say they have really jumped up their prices on their Yogos but its worth it. I flew in from Cleveland just to replace the stone I lost.
