Let me preface my review by saying that I am rating my GLUTEN FREE experience only.
I am not usually super picky when it comes to gluten free, because a lot of gluten free stuff just isn’t anything like its “glutinous” counterpart. That also applies to gluten free pizza. I really wanted to like Marco’s but both times I have ordered from this location, I have been sorely disappointed.
The first time I ordered, I got their gluten free pizza, something I order very rarely. While I LOVE the fact that they carry multiple sizes of gluten free crust, unlike any other pizza place, the pizza that I received wasn’t quite up to spec. There weren’t a large amount of toppings (I got pepperoni), and the crust was very soggy/mushy, to the point that it stuck to the roof of my mouth. It was also quite chewy. The flavor of the gluten free crust is pretty typical of a GF crust (which is to say, it doesn’t have a lot of its own flavor). The toppings themselves (e.g., cheese and pepperoni) were yummy, though.
The second time I ordered, the wait time was a little long, which is too be expected on a weekend, so I don’t rate based on time on weekends. What I do rate on is service and quality. I decided to be “good” this time and order a salad. The chef salad, specifically, which is $6.99. It is supposed to have turkey, ham, cheese, and tomatoes on it. Marco’s called me about 50 minutes after ordering to tell me that they were out of turkey. I told them no problem, it happens, and they asked what I would like in place of the turkey. I asked for bacon.
When the salad finally arrived, there was about two ounces of ham on the salad, and it was missing the second meat entirely. There were a few shavings of parmesan cheese, but nothing substantial. The buttermilk ranch that they provided also tasted “off” and quite bitter. For $6.99, I would expect to receive at least four or five ounces of meat on my salad. I was hungry two hours later (and I eat a lot of salad).
As much as I see people ordering from this place around my neighborhood, I was hoping it would be great. Unfortunately, that was not...
Read moreI actually wanted NO STARS, it would not post without one. We will no longer be ordering pizza from this Marco's @ 14663 Orchard Pkwy, Westminster, CO 80023. We have been ordering Gluten Free and regular pizza from them for quite some time now. Since we order Gluten Free each time, and cannot order on-line with Gluten Free, coupons, and specials, when I called in on one of our previous orders the very helpful and kind Manager told me, from then on to call in; and let them know, to please use one of the coupons specials towards our order since we order so much! So tonight when I called and spoke with the person who answered the phone, to my surprise they were so very RUDE, and said no, I could not use a $3.00 off large pizza coupon on a GF Medium pizzas, I explained what the previous Manager told me, and he said who? I did not have the name, and asked if I could talk to a Manager, he let me know he was the Manager. They let me know the General Manager was there, and if I wanted I could speak with the General Manager. When talking with the General Manager I reiterated the same thing, he in turn like the Manager who answered the phone was beyond RUDE. I let him know we really like their pizza's and had a Family Emergency last night, and have been up since then, and it was disheartening the way I was treated. I let him know since they both took the time to be belittling and incredibly RUDE, we will no longer be ordering our pizzas, salads... from them. Here is the thing, It was not that they told me we could not use any coupons, it was how "they talked and how very RUDE they both were!" We are so disappointed, but will take our business to another pizza place that has Gluten Free pizza. You can check any of our Google reviews, we have never done a review that was not exemplary on who we were writing about.

Read moreWe waited for 4 1/2 hours for our pizza to be delivered tonight! I placed my order at 5:40 and was surprised when the delivery estimate online said it wouldn't be delivered until 7:10-7:20 but accepted it. 7:20 comes and goes and when I look on line it says they are still making our pizza. I contact the store and they tell me it will be another 30 minutes and they can offer a 10% discount. I ask to speak to the manager (Ally) and she tells me the best they can do is offer me a $30 discount and promises the pizza will be delivered in 30 minutes. I reluctantly accept. 30 minutes goes by, they are testing my patience... After 1 additional hour of waiting I call back and am met with silence when I ask Ally where my pizza is. She tells me the delivery driver is on the way. No additional discount or compensation is offered. I tell her they have just lost a loyal customer as we will never order from them again. It is absolutely ludicrous for it to take this long and false promises of delivery times. I again am met with silence. She then finally says the driver is on his way and I just hung up. Horrible customer service! So once again we wait. Another 30-40 minutes goes by before they finally show up. To top it all off they want us to pay full price!!! No $30 discount! We just refused to accept the pizza at that point. It's sad because I actually really like...
