I am baffled that they currently have nearly a 5 star review. Second off the marketing portrayed a much classier establishment which we were excited to try. But we should have known when they didn’t accept reservations, and when you called the number the voicemail still told you you’re calling greenmill restaurant…..THE MARKETING IS MISLEADING.
First off the door handles into this “new” restaurant were filthy dirty, and you walk in to an empty, what appears to be a diner. Due to perusing the website we dressed up, and arrived wildly overdressed when we saw the accommodations. Literally walked into a diner, dressed for anything BUT that. (Side note: The tables were so far from the booth, and the chairs were so tall some of the guests feet didn’t touch the floor and were sat way higher than those on the booth. Awkward.)
We sat down, and before the rest of our party arrived, the two of us who were there received a complimentary spinach dip with chips— and were told “we have customer appreciation, sometimes”. It was the “sometimes for us. And the fact it looked like it had been sitting under a warmer all afternoon. From a flavor stand point— it was bland at best, but after trying it, we definitely wouldn’t go back for seconds.
We asked what drinks were recommended— to which our waitress really didn’t have a recommendation and seemed to not know the menu. The martini flights were absolutely awful—sorry but they were. It took ages to get our drinks, and for the place being barren, there was no reason for it. Not to mention they’re charging more than fine dining restaurants charge and they were terrible. All of it. The Martini flights were just 3 shots of lemon concentrate basically for $20. The cucumber margarita was the only okay drink — but the cucumbers were questionable.
We left before we could have something to say about the food, but given the whole experience, none of us felt we could trust the food here. Especially not the seafood. We chose to leave and go where we know.
Long story short—— just don’t try this place unless you like disappointment
They invited us to come back, but I’ll spend my money elsewhere— where the prices actually reflect the quality of food, drinks and service. 0 stars, do not recommend.
For being a “newly” opened restaurant— it was telling by their...
Read moreWe stopped for the night on our way to WI. We’ve stayed here before a couple of years ago and had a very good experience. It’s convenient to have an in-house restaurant after a long days drive. I would consider it more of a pub than a restaurant but I think that just added to a great experience overall. Even though there were quite a few folks there, we still enjoyed a quiet meal.
It was a pleasure to have Abby as our server and wish we’d had more time to visit with her. She checked on us frequently but not so much as to be annoying. I would ask for her every time. Not saying anything negative about the other servers, we just happened to have Abby. She truly seems to enjoy what she does and it shows.
Also, the gentleman who delivered our food to our table was so very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name.
I hope our return travel plans land us back in Wichita because we will definitely return to the Holiday Inn and 54 Craft & Co.
Our server, Abby, was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. I was having a hard time choosing what to eat and she was very knowledgeable about their menu items. I chose the center cut sirloin medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and their fries could be a meal on their own. Please pass on our review to your chef because the steak was so tender and flavorful without the need for any additional “sauce”. My husband had the fish & chips and was equally pleased.
We felt the prices adequately reflected the quality of the food. Thank you for a great end to...
Read moreThe Craft and Co. is a scratch kitchen for most food options. Which I love a scratch kitchen moment! It was kinda of hard to choose what to eat because they have a few fantastic options that stood out to me. Anyway, I am currently staying at the hotel where this restaurant is located for a business trip. So I decided to give it a shot. Very pleased with my overall experience! I had the opportunity to have my amazing server, Erik! He was very kind, checked in a few times (Perfect amount in my opinion), answered my questions I had with a great attitude, and was able to tell me more information than I thought I would receive which I love! Shows how knowledgeable he is about the restaurant, dishes, & etc. I got the Lemon Drop Martini. It was very good I added salt to my rim makes it better in my experience. Erik was kind enough to give me a smaller version of the Chicken, Shrimp, Bacon, and Corn Chowder it was amazing! For my main course (although an appetizer) I got Sheela’s Sriracha Shrimp was the perfect amount of spice & food for me! Highly recommend. I did think about getting their Monte Cristo which I may try next time! Finally, I finished off my dinner with the Brownie Bottom Pie (was my server’s suggestion). Hopefully I will be eating at the Craft & Co. in the future! Sorry about the words on my pictures I was sharing them...
