I was hoping to have the opportunity to eat here. I called First with a few questions and I wasn't even able to get through to the general manager of the restaurant. The woman who answered the phone refused to give her a name but was nasty to me even when I asked my first question. I did my best to call between the busy lunch time and a busy dinner time but that did not seem to affect her choice not to be friendly or kind or helpful. I asked several times what the name of the general manager is but she refused to give it. I'm not sure what's going on with corporations today that so many staff believe it is fine to keep public information hidden. If one checks on the internet one can usually find out the general manager or store manager of a corporation. It takes some times a little bit of doing but it is possible most of the time. Therefore, for this information to be withheld from staff is not acceptable. People need to recognize that we are truly living in a world where we need to expect people to be kind and helpful professional and decent to us all the time. Especially when they are representing a corporation and they are being told that they cannot share public information. Why not? Why would this company or the CEO refused to let public information be given over the phone. why is the falsehood being stated that it is for our safety that they don't give their names when that has nothing to do with it. It is crazy that over the past number of years it is become very common for people to say well I don't give my name I don't have to when they work for a corporation. But they do indeed have to give their full name when they work for a corporation because they are representing a corporation and they are to be held liable for what they do or do not do as per their Duty as an employee of the corporation. Unfortunately it seems most people have no clue that they are always to get the full name of the man or woman to whom they're speaking so they can always hold that man or woman liable for what that man or woman does properly or does not do properly. The only way for any man to be held accountable is not to hide and to give his full name when he is working as a representative of a corporation. If he doesn't give his full name then he needs to at least give an employee ID so he can be identified. But often today that is even refused. And that was refused by this restaurants staff. I spoke to this woman and she hung up on me and when I called back she didn't answer the phone. I called back and it rang till it disconnected five times. This is terrible treatment. This is absolutely ridiculous that the CEO of Carlos O'Kelly's allows his stuff to mistreat people with such hatred and anger and inferiority complex is the CEO of Carlos O'Kelly going to make any changes? Are people going to be required to be professional and friendly and listen and actually help someone when they're answering the phones or not. why are we as people not demanding that those who answer the phones are truly doing their jobs appropriately? We have to wake up as people and start demanding that others are doing their jobs and when they're not we need to tell their superiors and even make reviews online so that people know that the staff of a company are not being trained properly to treat people well. Whatever happened with the idea that the customer is always right? Truly you hardly find a company today that believes in that or acts as if that is true. Now today if someone is telling a company about something that went wrong that the company did not do not only does the company staff but also people around often treat that man or woman who is expressing a concern and even upset because something happened to them as if that man reporting is the one who is wrong. I am appalled what are you going to do to change it? This is a question for the CEO of Carlos O'Kelly's and parent company chairman and every man what are you going to do to change fact we are not getting treatment we deserve? Are you...
Read moreWhen we walked in we had to wait for someone (a young lady in a gray t-shirt to seat us. We asked for a booth due to medical issues, we were told that none were available and would have to go back in the front and wait. We looked around and there were plenty of booths available, which the young lady told us that there wasn’t a server assigned for the booths. So…because we were hungry, we relented sitting at the uncomfortable table. From there, it started to get bad when our server, Jenna asked what we would like to drink. It took more than 5 minutes to get our drinks while watching the server disappear before serving them to us. After our order was taken, the waitress disappeared again for several minutes. When she brought out our food, the waitress gave us the wrong food we had ordered. After the mistake was finally corrected, it seemed that this waitress dropped our plates on the table. We’ll give her the benefit of possibly losing a grip on the plates. The plates weren’t hot as they usually are and the food was barely lukewarm as if sitting on the counter in the kitchen for an extended amount of time. We ate with a few pesky flies buzzing around us and our food. 🤢. We waited for our waitress to reappear to ask us if we wanted refills, which never happened. We even wanted a to go drink so we could finish out our errands. Everyone else seated in other areas had refills and even to go cups. The customers in her area weren’t asked if they wanted a refill. There’s more to this incident, but it seemed that our waitress just didn’t want to be working there with her flippant attitude. If this is the case, there are other restaurants that give better service and food from what we...
Read moreTo start off, I will say the one bright side was our food was good. That is it. We arrived at 8:30 after having one of the members of our party being sat a few minutes prior. We did not get acknowledged until 8:40 when we had our waiter run by our table and say, “I’ll be right with you guys!” He came back a few minutes later when I asked if we could see the drink menu. He proceeded to tell me that they are not allowed to have them on the tables due to covid-19. I then asked if he could just tell us their specials and he went on to say that last call was made 10 minutes ago, I might add with quite a bit of sass. We were all excited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a couple margs and queso. Needless to say we were a bit upset but we were there so we might as well eat. We ordered our waters and our food and he left. He came back carrying a tray with BEERs and our drinks as well. He placed our quesos down and then said he’d be right back. Let me remind you this was at least 15-20 minutes AFTER “last call.” We decided we wouldn’t push the issue because we didn’t think it would go anywhere. He came back a few moments later with our food. Service was extremely fast, which I understand they were trying to close at 9. But then, after we had gotten our food, we saw him walk by with another 2 alcoholic beverages. I’m not sure if he just didn’t want to take our order of drinks or if last call had happened at 8:30 and they were that behind on orders. We were just very disappointed in the overall experience and will not...
