Went to this restaurant with my older brother, his girlfriend, my sister and, my fiance. So, my brother had called ahead and the guy over the phone was really nice he said " it would be a 5 min wait Mr. Franklin, and if you get here and we don't have a table you will be the first to be sat". So we left right after he called and when we get there the host asked the reservation name, said okay "we will go clean a table for you"... Came back and asked the new party next to us if they have been here first.(đ¤¨) My brother stepped in and asked to be sat as we had waited 15 min and we're the first there. Finally got a table and we were all super excited as half of us have never been to Cheddar's. We ended up waiting 20-25 min and never saw a server, then the manager that night (Jordan from Texas) came to our table. He asked if we had been served or even seen a server, we said no not at all and it's been 20 min now.(You could tell he was upset) so, he said he was going to personally take care of us, he immediately took our drink order and brought us croissants. I get a mango tea and he brought me a peach tea, if you like extremely sweet, syrupy drinks get the peach tea, for me it was way to strong and I let everyone try it and they agreed it was strong. They eventually remade it and it was less strong but still not drink able( I just sipped on an extra water that was brought to the table). A server near the section came over to us and said she would be taking care of us not knowing the manager was going to but took it anyway. We got our appetizer out in and out other food. And asked for appetizer plates 2 times and didn't get them till after we were done with the croissants and the appetizer. The dip for the appetizer was cold and the chicken fingers weren't even hot. We get our food and dug in... My brother's steak was spicy from being over seasoned with pepper, his girlfriends potato was basically uncooked, my sister's noodles were extremely over cooked and broke apart at the touch the chicken in it was dry, my fiancees fries we soggy and my chicken was okay but my bacon cheese fries were harder then concrete and my broccoli casserole was just mush( not even 5 minutes of being home I started feeling sick and ended up throwing up the food). The manager ended up just having us pay for drinks and earlier the server joked with us about how the manager accidentally added a hot chocolate to our ticket... It was never taken off and we didn't even notice until after paying.
Thank you to the server who took care of us that night you did good and we could tell you were trying. An thank you Jordan for making sure we're we taken care of. But idk about the rest of the party but I will not be dinning at Cheddar's for a very long time.
Update: we all are now throwing up except for my brother, my fiance threw up this morning, brothers girlfriend throwing up all day, and my little sister has been throwing up...
Read moreWe went on a Sunday afternoon for my birthday lunch, it was not busy and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. I enjoyed the selection of music that played also and the decor. It's nice that the building is big and open it doesn't feel crowded at all.
The menu had several items that looked very good, I will be returning to try them for sure. The variety of the menu was just enough to feel like you have options but not overwhelming. They also had a full drink menu of cocktails, wine, and beers.
I chose the buffalo chicken wrap. It came with delicious seasoned fries and homemade ranch on the side. The crispy chicken tenders were great, however they didn't put buffalo sauce on the tenders, and the cabbage in the wrap was really skimpy. But the meal was $10.50, and overall the amount of food I got was a good value so I can't complain. It was also pretty good despite them forgetting the sauce.
I requested the sauce when I noticed which was 1 1/2 way into eating my meal they brought it as a side. I ended up getting a box and having enough for lunch tomorrow, with a side of buffalo sauce so I'm happy. My husband got a vegetable plate, which is only $9 for four sides, it's a great option for vegetarians.
I had received a coupon in my email for a free birthday dessert and I redeemed it for a giant slice of chocolate cake and ice cream which was really really good.
Our total with the free dessert (which is normally $7.50) was only $21.89. I was blown away by this. I would recommend this place, the food is delicious, it's a great value, and a relaxed quiet atmosphere which is hard to find at...
Read moreFlew into Wichita, and stopped here before went to my hotel. It was just me eating. Had a 30 minute wait after was told 15 minutes, which wasnât a huge deal, it was a Sunday afternoon. I get seated however, waitress, Kaden (and only reason why I know her name is I asked the manager who was speaking to another table who I believe was not happy with service as well) She did not introduce herself nor had a name tag on) was standing right in front of me talking to another paying customer, so she saw me sit down. However, proceeded on with a 15 minute conversation about her future goals with this customer, thats fine if he was the only one in here but it wasnât. I waited, and finally, I said, âExcuse me, is there another waitress in this section?â She looked at me and said, âOh sorry!â Then turned and spoke to the customer for about another minute or two then came to me. She said, âIm so sorry about that. â Okay fine, can give benefit of doubt, some people feel rude pulling themselves away from a conversation, but, girl youâre working. I order, she comes back 5 minutes later with a croissant, did not bring my diet coke that I ordered or a water and went right back into the conversation with the man sitting at the table in front of me.. 10 mins pass, had to interrupt her again, and ask for my drink, brings it out, goes right back to his table. Ridiculous, there were other customers she was neglecting as well. Food was good, why gsve it 3 starts, but Kaden, honey, you need...
