Jamba — Restaurant in Wichita

I’m from Orange County California and I definitely know Jamba. Been there since the beginning. Moved to Wichita three years ago, and then thrilled to find out a location was opening here. Ordered my usual drink that I would’ve gotten back at home. Immediately on the first sip, it tasted off. I thought maybe because it’s been a while I just forgot. Ordered strawberries, wild, and it tasted like orange juice. Eww! I don’t know what got made, but Never have I ever ordered a Jamba drink and gotten nauseated an hour after drinking it. I don’t think I can get myself to ever order one of their smoothies again. Tropical Smoothie never has ever made me sick. Not to mention the pretzel nuggets were great on top, but I got halfway through the cup and the bottom half they were all burnt. That’s nice putting the good ones on top but what the heck? Jamba is either not the same or this location is not. I am sticking with Tropical Smoothie. They really need to step it up on how they keep the ingredients and training for mixing those drinks. Imagine going through the drive through and placing your order which was a medium Pineapple, Blueberry Smoothie w/ NO COCONUT. The young man taking my order wasn't aware or knowledgeable that items can be replaced with other items. The manager got on the mic and stated they'd replace the Banana with Pineapple which is exactly what I wanted with NO COCONUT due to allergies. I received the order and IT HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PINEAPPLE in it and it had COCONUT in it. On the cup was the receipt that states there's only Blueberries w/COCONUT and I was charged about $9 bucks. So, I decided to go inside to show them the receipt on the cup, inform them of my allergies and the manager kindly apologized, stated she'd remake the smoothie for me at no charge, sounds great right??? WRONG!! SHE REMADE THE SAME EXACT SMOOTHIE I INFORMED HER WAS WRONG. It was extremely slow at the time I showed up, so being busy with orders isn't an excuse. Went 9/6/25. They make it fresh. Low rating is because the pretzel dog was given to me not fully cooked. Top was burnt. Ripped the top off to take off and noticed the dough wasn’t cooked all the way through. One of the workers said sorry. Didn’t offer to replace. The shift lead had spoken to me previously because we were asked to park when 10 minutes passed and the food was never delivered, causing the line to become backed up. Another vehicle was also asked to park. The shift lead was nice, no complaints other than the food was undercooked. Kids wanted to eat here and standardly come for pretzel nuggets. There is always a wait, so I am not upset about waiting. Low stars for food quality. I didn’t give 1 star because the shift lead gave us a free dip for the inconvenience.
