I honestly donāt know how this place had such good reviews. Firstly, it's difficult to reach as you have to walk through the entire second pier and walk past the water park to find the restaurant. My overall experience here was horrible. I want to preface this by saying that I understand the restaurant is partly outdoors. I was first put at a table where it was very windy and it knocked over my nieceās drink, despite there being ample seating away from the wind. It took the waitress 15 minutes to come back to my table. I asked if we could please move tables, as did the family next to us, and if my niece could have another drink because where they sat us was so windy that her drink was placed over the menus (that the waitress didnāt take once she took our orders) and it flipped her cup over and dumped her drink all over the table. We were moved and the only reason Iām complaining about this was because we were then moved to a spot that was honestly no better than the first one, but then they put these tarps over the windows at our original spot. The waitress then served us food, but we had no utensils or plates so we had to wait another 10 minutes before she came back to get the order for the table next to us to ask for either. When she came back to the table, she only brought the utensils. To not wait any longer, I gave the paper box our French fries came in to one niece, and I shared food off of the platter our food came on with my other niece. After we finished our meal, I then had to wait another 10 minutes for the waitress to ask for the check. The food was subpar at best for the price we paid on top of which. I understand itās an outdoor place, but it was unbearable as far as seating because of the heavy wind and the fact the staff didnāt put tarps up until halfway through our meal. They charged me for the drink that fell over and never brought a new one. Honestly, I was so annoyed that I didnāt say anything because I just wanted to leave and didnāt want to wait another 10 to 15 minutes for somebody to come take my credit card. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent...

Finding PigDog can be a little tricky, so here is the scoop: you will need to walk through Moreyās Piers all the way to the end, past the waterpark, and across a few scenic ramps until you arrive at this hidden oasis. The walk itself is part of the fun, with awesome views of the Ferris wheel and rides along the way. Just keep in mind, it can get crowded and noisy, so pups that are sensitive to hustle and bustle might need some extra care.
Pig Dog is a seasonal tiki-style bar and restaurant where leashed, friendly dogs are welcome. Expect good vibes, ocean breezes, and plenty of American-style eats and drinks. There is even a dog menu and Brie was treated to ice cream (thanks, Madison!).
The indoor area is spacious, fully covered, and has wind barriers for cooler days. Outside, you will find flat sandy ground that is easy to walk on, with extra seating, swings, and games right on the beach.
It is the ultimate summer hangout, and even better during local summer, when the crowds thin and the temps are just right. Check them out on social media for the latest updates...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want to drink on the beach and be very close to the ocean -- PigDog is your place. If you know what good smoked/BBQ food tastes like -- you will not find it here. Other than the atmosphere, PigDog is a tourist trap. Terrible service and very bland BBQ. To start, we waited 20 minutes for our food to arrive (we were there at lunch and it was NOT busy). As we suspected, both the appetizer and the entrees came out at the same time and the appetizers were cold. Basically, the appetizer had been ready for a while and no one brought it out. But I can overlook these kind of mistakes -- they do happen -- but only if the food makes up for it. In this case it did not. First, there are no sauces on the tables and there was no additional sauce served with the pulled pork or the brisket. Each had only a minimum of sauce on them and they were both dry and amazingly tasteless. The sides were just as bland -- the baked beans are canned baked beans and were nothing special. You do get a bag of Utz potato chips which frankly was the best part of the meal. Again, to drink, PigDog is hard to beat -- but do not go there...
