I can only give a one star review for the service or lack thereof as we didn’t get to order food. Also I am not one to complain or say something but this kind of pissed me off. On 8/2 at 8:36 PM, my wife and I went to Jimmy Johns in winder ga. They close at 9:00 pm and we’re only getting subs ToGO. I have worked retail before so I know they want to get off work at 9 and leave. Again we were only going to get subs to go. I cannot hear very well and I am not great at ordering food though a drive though. I usually go in and get my food at just about everywhere we eat. My wife and I got out of our car and saw the light was on and no notes on the door. There were two males working inside one was behind the counter and had what appeared to be blonde hair and the other was inside by the door and had dread locks with a Jimmy John apron. Before we could ever approach the side walk the male stood by the door and pointed to the drive through. He did not tell us what was going on or let us in. He just pointed at the drive through as we walked a little closer he made it a point to wave his arm like a cop would directing traffic towards the drive though. I pointed at the drive though and he just shook his yes.
Now I was not inside and I do not know if they were having some sort of internal issues but an explanation of some sort would have been good. We ended up not going through the drive through due to said issues above. I have worked customer service in some sort of form for almost 30 years and have never encountered something like this. They still had about 24 minutes till closing. As I drove away I could see someone else walking up to the door and walking away. We ended up going to Firehouse subs which is also open till 9 and went inside with 0 issues. They were very welcoming. I say all of that to say- if you want to go home early then at least tell someone. I would have gone through the drive though. I bet if management did an internal audit they would see that transactions from 830 to 9 are below par and only money shown would be for drive though or pick up orders. Hopefully management will fix this issue and provide an...
Read morePlease trust the reviews and skip Jimmy John's in Winder. I just went in to grab a sub for lunch and the whole experience was a disappointment. The 2 girls working behind the counter today are extremely rude. I was really nice to them, and when people are really nice to you, I don't know how you're able to be ugly to them. It's not possible for me to be a jerk to someone who's really nice to me. I asked for an 8in tuna sandwich and a bag of chips. It cost $11.26. After I paid, I noticed a sign under the register that said $10 meal deal. I paid more money to just get a sandwich and chips than I would have paid for that plus a drink and cookie. Did the blonde lady mention that when ringing me up? Absolutely not. I got over it quickly. I guess it's my fault for not seeing it before I paid. The purple haired lady made my sandwich, put it in a bag, and kind of tossed it on the edge of the counter. Instead of laying an 8" long sandwich down on the counter, she put it upright, which makes it extremely top heavy. Before I even had time to reach out to grab the bag, it fell on the floor. Did she apologize for dropping my food on the ground? Of course not! That would have been polite and these girls are most definitely NOT polite. The best part is when I get back to work to eat my sandwich, I notice that there isn't any tuna visible when I go to take my first bite. I opened it up and saw why. She put a scoop of tuna in the middle of the sandwich and didn't even bother to to spread it out. I guess spreading the tuna out over the entire sandwich would have been too much to ask. The bottom of the bread is so hard that I think it sat out all night. Lucky me. The tuna sandwich just tastes like onion. I didn't even think it was possible for tuna to not taste like tuna. Tuna is a pretty strong flavor, but this is an onion sandwich....
Read moreNothing Freaky Fast here! I walked in and placed my order (per the receipt) at 7:09pm. There were a few cars in the drive thru and 2 orders inside in front of me. I asked for a #16 add cheese only lettuce and a #10 add onions only lettuce. There was 1 person working on the orders that were in store and she was obviously relatively new since she had to look at the menu to know how to make the sandwiches. There were 2 employees standing together up front, both with drive thru headsets on. The man was obviously making sandwiches either for the drive thru or what appeared to be a large delivery order. They both chatted and giggled together as the other employee struggled to make the orders in the store. I finally got my order at 7:30pm and walked to the car. Given the fact that I had someone new making my order, I checked it. Both sandwiches were wrong and had tomatoes and condiments on them. I walked back in to let them know this and the “new” girl said she did not know that I only wanted lettuce. The man, with a smirk, said that the ingredients are listed under each sandwich on the menu board. I pointed out that none of the sandwiches showed ingredients and he responded “well that’s the way they come”. They then told me, again with a smirk, that they could not remake them since they were out of bread as he pointed to the bread rack. He then offered to remake 1 since they had just 1 piece of bread left. This was the worst service I have ever seen at a Jimmy John’s and I will not be back. This store has not always been this way and I have frequently received...
