Nig's Bar — Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells

DJ and dance floor were awesome but the bar itself was awful. We waited for a while to get served and when we did get served the bartender was sloppy drunk ( he could barely keep his eyes open and was slurring his words). While making our drinks he was sticking his bare hand into the drinking and grabbing ice, which is disgusting and unprofessional. We moved onto the dance floor, which was a lot of fun. Then got drinks from another bartender and when asked to put the bill on our tab, he couldn’t find our card. We started the tab with the sloppy bartender and saw that he just left the card on the counter by the drinks, but assumed he put it there because he was busy. They called over the drunk bartender to talk to us, and he had no clue what was going on. We showed him our IDs to confirm the name and where we saw the card last and he was accusing us of lying. Then we started asking about cameras and he stormed off mad and threw his hands up in the air. Very unprofessional on their part. The credit card did “magically” appear about 15 minutes later from the drunk bartender, with no apology. That definitely left a bad taste...

Prices are great. Service seriously needs work. Today, during a Badger game, in a day where they were Not swamped, one of the two bartenders, a male wearing a maroon hoodie, chose to talk to his regulars instead of serving me. I waited five minutes before the other bartender served me. She was working her tail off. When I went to get a second drink, I waited seven minutes before deciding to go back to my table and chew on ice. After the bar nearly cleared out, I went back for a second drink because I was out of ice. Again, maroon hoodie guy couldn’t be bothered to get me a drink because he was busy chatting. He made eye contact three times and did nothing. Finally, the other bartender came by, after seven minutes, and got me my drink. Had the Badger game not been on, I would have left. Had I received average service, I would have had another drink. People blame millennials for not working hard, but this guy wasn’t a millennial, he was older. Not sure he is a team player. Darn sure he doesn’t care...

I have been to a lot of bars but none with bartenders as rude as the ones that work here. We barely made it in the bar and were greeted with a terrible attitude from an older bartender who mouthed off to not just our group but other customers as well. The man should not be bartending from what we had experienced. We had planned on staying for a few drinks because Nigs is known for being a great bar, well that is wrong, there are WAY better bars in the Dell's. Had one drink and we left, in that time we had our drinks there were probably about five other groups that had come and gone in the short amount of time. Other customers didn't stay long because the terrible attitude from the bartenders. It was not like we were terrible customers because we had been to several other bars after that and had been told we were a fun group. With the current staff working here I would not recommend this place, take the business elsewhere until they find new employees who can treat...
