Is there an option for no stars? Oh I have to put a star in order to actually post the review... I see. Where to start.. looking at the other reviews I see mine will be another in a long line of dissatisifed and upset customers.
My review is not about the food, I've had the food a this location before, and others, the food is good. Not the issue here. My review is about the absolute lack of anyting remotely related to CUSTOMER SERVICE. Here is my experience I had on the way home from work.
I pull up to the drive-thru at about 4:45pm, and it's actually not busy for a change, there is just one car in front of me waiting. Well, this person had the patience of a saint because they sat there for about 5 - 6 minutes before someone finally took their order. Ok fine, maybe the person before them had a large order, benefit of the doubt, right? Nope. I pull up to the speaker.... wait... nothing, no response, wait some more... nothing... wait about a minute and a half till I finally say, Hello? The response is, rapid fire, Welcome to blah blah we'll be with you in a moment. No, "I'm sorry", no "we're sorry for the delay"... nothing. I wait again, another 2 - 3 minutes... a car pulls up behind me... now they are waiting another couple more minutes and the person in the car behind me asks, have they taken your order yet? I shake my head no, and then I say to the box... "I'm going to fall asleep here waiting for you to take my order." You know to lighten the mood I'm already in. The response from the person in the box to me is very curt; "Sir, we are very short staffed right now..." This is your response to a customer, who's been waiting this whole time for you to take my order?? This is the defacto way that you talk to someone who you have to take an order from?? I have some advice for this person... FIND ANOTHER JOB!! Go make boxes at a factory where you don't have to deal with people, because you are not good at it. Working in fast food is for people who have the inate ability to ignore peoples petty demands or you know, their impatience, when things are not moving along to their resonable satisfaction and instead, ARE NICE REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION!!!
My response to them was - Goodbye! And I drove off, and I will not return here in the foreseeable future.
I don't care that you are short staffed... that isn't mine, or ANY other customers concern. We decided to come buy your product, you should be over the moon about us wanting to do that. I don't want your excuses of why you're short staffed or why someone fell down in your kitchen or any of it... not the customers problem. My problem is I'm hungry, give me food, I pay you, I go home.
So if there are any managers or coorporate types from Popeyes reading this, (yeah right)... you've lost another customer. I don't care how good your food is, I'll gladly go somewhere else where the service is better.
I do sincerly hope that something will change from this but I'm not holding my breath. It starts from the top down and clearly the lack of customer service training is obvious on a massive scale here. Maybe y'all should take a page from Culver's customer service. Top notch everytime I go there, and where, I might add, I will go from now on when I think of chicken.
Also who the heck designed the layout for this location and the Chipotle next door??? Worst designs...
Read moreThis experience was terrible. This is the first time I’ve been to this restaurant and I won’t be returning. After waiting in line for 25+ minutes we get to the drive-thru window receive our food and start to drive off. Luckily, the woman working the window stopped me to tell me that a part of my order wasn’t in the bag. So I appreciated that she caught me caught me and I waited for that item. While waiting for that item I decided to check the other items in my bag to make sure everything was there. It was not. I was missing a mashed potato order and an Extra biscuit That I had ordered for my son. I informed the lady at the drive-thru that I was also missing these items and she seemingly went to tell somebody in the back that she needed them. Now I understand that mistakes happen, and that things get left out of the bag, I was glad I checked and noticed they were missing. I was not upset about the missing items, but it is how you render the situation that is what makes or breaks the experience... When she returned to the window she told me they were already placed in the bag. I then had to empty out my entire bag and open every box in my possession to prove to the people at the window that I did not have these items, like I said. After proving that I didn’t have the items that I was that I was missing I received a bag from inside and started to drive off. When I looked in the bag the mashed potatoes were in there but the extra biscuit was not. So I had to stop the car get out and go to the front to the front inside and I told the lady I am still missing a biscuit, to which she responded replied “did you pay for an extra biscuit? “ Now I saw on the drive through digital Breakdown of my items that the extra biscuit cost $.99 so I know that it was on my ticket however I was not given a receipt at the window so I have nothing to prove this, which is a whole different beast. After going back-and-forth with the woman at the front she gave me the biscuit and I left. This level of manipulation or confusion or whatever it may be, just somebody dropping the ball, is going to hurt this restaurant tremendously. There is a lack of customer service, there is a lack of training their employees, there seems to be a lack of patience with the employees that are there. We will not be back unless these issues are addressed. I should’ve read these reviews...
Read moreAvoid this location. This is a new location in Woodstock with the next closest one being on Mansell Rd but with the service here it's better to drive the extra minutes to the Mansell location. Service is extremely slow and strangely enough this location only offers a subset of the menu options available at any other normal Popeyes, so don't expect the full menu. Speaking of weird menus, I can't explain why they don't sell the Surf and Turf combo that has shrimp and chicken, yet they do sell a separate shrimp meals combo and a separate chicken tender meal. Doesn't make sense.
Back to the bad service. We're ordering the shrimp combo meal and a wing combo meal with an extra biscuit. So they're out of wings. So okay. And they say they can substitute for tenders. While that conversation is going on, the person taking the order is yelling at someone else that works there over the intercom system. So she forgets the order and we repeat everything again. Then we find out they are out of EVERY soda and bottled water, only sweet tea is left. Ok. So eventually we get the order in.
We pay at the window but the person in the car in front of us has a wrong order. We look at our receipt (they said "spicy" on the wings which we said "mild" and had a side of mac and cheese which we also didn't order). So now the person in the car in front of us and I are both walking into the restaurant to get orders fixed.
With the person who had already walked in, they first told them they were out of mac and cheese and would have to substitute and then minutes later said actually they had mac and cheese and were now bringing a large side of it to make up for that wait and they also had to sub them a different piece of chicken because something on their original order they were out of .
I get to the counter to mention the screw up on the "spicy" chicken to catch them before they made the wrong thing. Got the food. Went back to the car and before leaving discovered they forgot the extra biscuit.
So if you're going to make the bad decision to go to this location remember three things: 1)You better be patient because your order could take forever. 2) Doublecheck your order before leaving the restaurant. 3) Better yet, make the drive to the Mansell Rd location which has the full menu so you won't have to deal with...
