Place is infested with roaches. I was almost done eating my sandwich when I saw a baby cockroach run across the dining room. Now, I worked in the food industry for a long time, so I have an unfortunately-high level of roach knowledge and experience. I can tell you that roaches are nocturnal and like dark and quiet. If a roach is running out in the open, in broad daylight, in fluorescent light, around people... Then the infestation is really bad in the kitchen. Really bad. I'd say that there's a very high chance that roaches are crawling on the food/prep areas, getting in the food, and nesting in the soda fountain/fridges etc.
Went to the bathroom and saw another roach on the other side of the dining room. Once you started looking, they were everywhere. Went to the bathroom and there was a glue trap behind the toilet with 10+ roaches in it. I'm a bit amazed that no one else has mentioned this in the reviews, because you really can't miss them.
Now, the glue trap in the bathroom means they are aware of the problem and trying to fix it (hopefully with professional help), which is good. And, don't get me wrong; roach infestations can just happen in the food industry. It doesn't necessarily mean that the restaurant is unclean. But here's the thing: the fact that roaches are out in the open means that the infestation is pretty bad, which means that they ignored the problem for way too long. I worked in kitchens for a long time, and you nuke the place as soon as you see a single roach. They clearly didn't do this.
At this point it's not only gross, but also a massive health risk. On top of that, since it's bad enough that roaches are crawling around the dining room, there's a decent chance one will hop in your bag/purse/whatever and you'll end up taking a pet home and infesting your own home.
It's a pretty bad look to have roaches crawling around your customers. They should probably close up shop until they can get a handle on the infestation, for both customer health and reputation. In the...
Read moreIt's been a couple of weeks since visiting the restaurant. It was my first time there to Schlotzky's, and brought my son who's attending Kennesaw State to grab a sandwich before dropping him off at home. I live in Gwinnett County, so a bit of a distance. Anyway, it was about noonish there about, and the service we received from the young lady who took our order wasn't friendly at all. Shared it was our first time and she didn't offer any suggestions. A coworker suggested you all's sandwich's so I was excited to come through...
Customer service is huge, huge, for me and if it slacks, I'll state it. And, totally the opposite, I'll praise it.
To make this story short, when paying for anything you want to be able to share your experiences, recommendations, etc... I can't recommend this location. This is my opinion. This is my experience. This is what I do, share them.
Overall, the sandwich was pretty good. Please do better because word of mouth is everything. I needed a bag to separate our sandwich's another young lady gave us a bag who was very friendly, I wished she would have taken our...
Read moreThis is the worst schlotzsky's place We have ever been to and will never eat there again! This place was old, not taken care of at all..bathroom was disgusting, no tables were clean, all chairs had cracks in them, floor of Reasturant missing pieces and sticky dirty ALL over with a coating that makes it look like it hadn't been mopped in years, the ceilings had rusted fans/vents,. Their cooler in the front for drinks was not stocked and messy, the service was slow and it was definitely not a busy time. When our order came out , my soup cup was only 2/3 full and the ingredients on the sandwiches were SO little it was ridiculous! We normally Love this chain but if I had only this experience for them I would never eat at another. This is a very poor representation of this chain!!! And we usually try to be very understanding but this just seems like someone doesn't care about keeping up their store & the franchise name,...
