Mercado Williman — Restaurant in Montevideo

One of a number of well-known food halls in Montevideo. Mercado Williman (entrance on Williman Street) serves the area of Punta Carretas, the closest major street being 21 de Septiembre. The hall opens at 10am; but better not to come before 11:30am at the earliest because none of the establishments will be open for business. Plenty of indoor seating on two levels and a wide range of food/beverage options. The food hall format isn’t my favorite for having a meal; but if you have a lot of people to feed at one time who all want a choice of menu, this could fit the bill. Great experience at this pretty market. The ambiance is amazing for any time of the day, plenty of food options for any kind of diet, from sushi, asado, salads to desserts, beer, wine, asian and spanish food. The place is beautiful and decorated with plenty of seats, either i. the lower level or upper level (and some space outside on the second level as well) This is a great place to come with family and friends so anybody can choose the food they like. Totally recommended....

A perfect place to enjoy some fancy shmancy drinks and food with your friends. They have various food options from Thai, Chinese, shawarma, gelatos, desserts,etc.
