I recently had the pleasure of trying out a new banh mi shop in town, and I was thoroughly impressed. The shop's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff immediately set a welcoming tone.

This is the best banh mi in Hanoi (in my opinion!). It’s a little more expensive (although still less than £1.40 for a sandwich!) than some of the more local banh mi places in Hanoi, but it’s 100% worth the extra little bit of money for a truly delicious sandwich! We always love the feel of eating a banh mi on the street in Hanoi with all the other locals. I’ve already mentioned my utter disdain for coriander, so I’m always very grateful whenever I can ask for food without coriander in Vietnam as it’s such a huge part of the local cuisine and the wonderful staff at MOM’s created my banh mi without even a trace of coriander in, which I was super grateful for!
