Returned again tonight, waiters and barman great, in particular Tuan and the future band member mixing drinks 😉. Skybar located on the 11th floor of the La Siesta Classic Ma May Hotel (across from Ma Mays house). Happy hour from 5-7 daily with 2for1 classic cocktails, wine & beer.(menu shows 5-7 but it's actually till 8pm currently). Serves food and snacks as well. Fries are a delicious big bowl (think maccas chips) and 15% off during happy hour. Ordered Mai Tai, tequila sunrise, mojito. All fantastic, especially the mojito.
This was a great find! A breath of fresh air in what is the chaos of ha noi. Wish we'd found it earlier.
On visiting last night, fantastic service from all the staff, including the hotel concierge as well. Professional bar staff that were very attentive and went above and beyond to provide an impeccable service level.
On ordering drinks we were provided with complimentary bar snacks as we enjoyed what is a beautiful view from a stylish sky bar. The bar has a few different levels and angles for different views and was pretty quiet on Friday night. Was so good we cancelled our next stop and decided to stay a bit...
Read moreThere are 2 levels to Moonlight Sky Bar. The first level is where most of the seats are located and is also where the bar is as well. The second level is our favourite and it is here where you can get unparalleled views of Hanoi City. The entire bar is open-air which is great for summers but can be a little chilly during winter months. However, they do have patio heaters available which helps to keep guests warm while enjoying the live music in the evenings.
One of the views that we particularly enjoyed was that of Cau Chuong Duong bridge. It is a beautiful trussel bridge that connects Hanoi Old Quarter to the Lam Du side, across the Red River to the east.
The other thing we enjoyed about visiting Moonlight Sky Bar are the instagrammable spots there. In the evenings, the bar is litted up with fairy lights which ladies would enjoy taking photos during the day. For us, the mini remake of the trussel bridge at Cau Chuong Duong is another highlight for us. If you take the shot at certain angles, you should be able to get both the mini and real Cau Chuong Duong bridge in the same picture.
