Note that I am upgrading the review based on their response to my negative review. Perhaps just an off night.
This restaurant was a disaster. It was recommended to us and looked like a higher end menu. They are trying to be gourmet with no knowledge of what’s required to deliver that experience. No napkins at table and then she brings tiny paper napkins as your get in a food stall We ordered 2 apps to share and 3 entrees - there were 3 of us. They brought the 2 apps and one entree. The other two arrived 20 minutes later. My husband ate alone and then watched us eat. We ordered lamb chops medium rare. Mine were perfect and my son’s were so overcooked they were inedible. We sent them back and said not to bring another since we had already waited so long. Then starts the negotiation of the bill. They wanted to charge us in full and give a free dessert, we declined, then half, we declined. Finally she removed from bill. We should have just gotten pho. Wasted a lot of money on a terrible dining experience. Do...
Read moreOur dining experience at Red Bean was made exceptional thanks to our wonderful waitress, Christina. From the moment we were seated, Christina's friendly and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic meal.
Christina was extremely knowledgeable about the authentic Vietnamese dishes on the menu. When we expressed interest in trying some traditional items, she provided excellent recommendations and descriptions of the various options. Based on her suggestions, we ended up ordering a few dishes we may not have otherwise tried, and they ended up being the highlights of our meal.
In addition to her service and menu expertise, Christina also went above and beyond by surprising us with a couple of complimentary Vietnamese souvenir items and free drinks. These little touches really made us feel valued as customers and enhanced our overall experience.
Throughout our time at Red Bean, Christina checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Her attentive yet unobtrusive service was greatly...
Read moreHad to leave a review for the bad experience my girlfriend and I just had. It was not up to the standards it pretends to have. It is pretty expensive for Hanoi (wine glasses were half full, bottle of still water close to 5 euro equivalent…).
-Booked a diner for valentines 2 weeks in advance asking for a seat with outside view. No window seat available for us although there was plenty of room left when we booked
-we were not told the usual food menu would not apply and were given a limited menu which was not what we intended to have. A simple email advising us about this would have been nice
-waited for over 45 minutes for simple pasta with pesto
though expensive, the food was overall OK so no complaint here to be honnest
all the tables around us have been offered a complementary drink and small dessert at the end except us, even those who did not order the Valentine special menu - not sure what we has to do to deserve it
I would not recommend this place, but hopefully we we just there at...
