A very hidden restaurant located out of the way in an alley. It was recommended by our guide and they serve a variety of course meals that highlight the specialities of Hoi An.
The overall ambience is alright but the toilets are very cramped.
Onto the meal: Quang Noodle (3/5). A dry noodle of sorts with a variety of ingredients like vegetables and fish paste. Overall taste was good but it was leaning towards bland for my personal taste
Beating cake and fried wontons (5/5). Essentially fried spring roles and also wontons. Great flavour and fried to a crispy golden brown
Hoi An chicken rice (3.8/5). A local specialty of Hoi An with flavourful rice and chicken strips. The meat could be a little more tender and rice was slightly cold. The soup that accompanied the rice was the saving grace
Kolrabi soup with minced meat (5/5). Amazing flavour. A must try dish
Coconut and corn dessrt (5/5). A sweet concoction that looks slightly more like a paste in consistency. Love the texture...

The food: Was not inspiring Was memorable in a bad way Was an embarrassment to your fellow countrymen
We had my quang, fried spring rolls, fried wonton, chicken rice, vegetable soup, and sticky coconut dessert.
All of them were underwhelming. As a tourist with limited experience with authentic vietnamese cuisine, I was fortunate enough to tasted some delicious, inspiring, and awesome Da Nang dishes. But this ain’t it.
I highly recommend to steer away from this restaurant. I’m positively sure that you can get better food somewhere else. I believe, some street food vendors could bested this restaurant.
To be fair: The food was edible The staff was not rude The atmosphere was okay
10/10 would not visit again.
You might ask, why we dined in this place at the first place? Because it was included in our itinerary that was prepared by our tour guide. If we had another choice, we would not dine...
Read moreHorrible. I'll explain, don't worry. Barely anyone in the restaurant at 7 pm should have been the red flag. Ordered the beef in clay pot. Ummm, a bowl of vegetable rice with some beef looking bits. Also ordered the chicken curry as there isn't anything more interesting in the menu. This was a bowl of curry flavoured broth with carrots and potatoes with a few threads of chicken. Both were room temperature at best. To top the night off. At check out, they looked at our credit card and said no no no...cash. This is fine if you want to be set up that way, but you better make it very clear to your patrons before you start serving. Oh, and I call BS on their star rating. There's no way it got this rating...
