Lê Bá Truyền 1 Restaurant — Restaurant in Hội An

This restaurant is one of the best local restaurants we have visited so far in Vietnam. The quality of the food is at a very high level, at prices that are considerably lower than in the area closer to the river. At Lê Bá Truyên 1 Restaurant we had the best fried spring rolls (with pork) that we have eaten so far on our trip through Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam)! They were so good we reordered them twice! The fried wontons were also fantastic and exceptional! The way they were made was a bit reminiscent of Italian bruschettes! Below were the crispy wonton platters topped with a mixture of chopped tomatoes, mild vegetables, spices and herbs. The phó, one with chicken and one with beef, had sprouts, salad and fresh herbs (e.g. Thai basil and Vietnamese lemon balm leaves). The local specialty Cao Lau was fantastic. The thicker rice noodles are a Hoi An specialty. There is also wonderful thinly sliced ​​braised pork, fine, very thin and crispy crôutons made from fried pork skin. All in a wonderful dark sauce. There are also mung bean sprouts, lettuce leaves, Thai basil, Vietnamese lemon balm and coriander leaves. If you liked, the extremely friendly waitress recommended seasoning with the chilli paste that was on the table. I did this carefully with a small spoon and it was sufficiently spicy and an absolute delight! The ambience of the restaurant exudes classic elegance with the polished, dark wooden paneling on the walls and the heavy furniture, which is given a playful, light counterpoint by the many white lanterns on the ceiling. Since the restaurant is open to the traffic-calmed street, you can choose to dine outside, under cover, or inside, without being forced to put on a jacket by excessive air conditioning! Overall, this was an extremely pleasant and highly recommended visit to the restaurant! We only became aware of the excellent price/performance ratio later when we walked through Hoi An's "Food Night Market", where the Cao Lau Noodles cost only 5,000 VND ($0.20) less. Dieses Restaurant ist eines der besten lokalen Restaurants, das wir bisher in Vietnam besucht haben. Die Qualität der Speisen bewegt sich auf sehr hohem Niveau, zu Preisen, die erheblich geringer sind, als in der Gegend näher am Fluß. Im Lê Bá Truyên 1 Restaurant haben wir die besten frittierten Frühlingsrollen (mit Schweinefleisch) bekommen, die wir bisher auf unserer Reise durch Südostasien (Singapur, Malaysia, Thailand, Kambodscha und Vietnam) gegessen haben! Sie waren so gut, dass wir sie zweimal nachbestellt haben! Auch die frittierten Wantans waren fantastisch und außergewöhnlich! Sie erinnerten in ihrer Machart ein bisschen an italienische Bruschette! Unten waren die krossen Wantan-Platten, auf denen eine Mischung aus gehackten Tomaten, milden Gemüse, Gewürzen und Kräutern thronte. Bei der Phó, eine mit Huhn, eine mit Rindfleisch, gab es Sprossen, Salat und frische Kräuter (z.B. Thai-Basilikum und vietnamesische Melissenblätter). Die lokale Spezialität Cao Lau war fantastisch. Die dickeren Reisnudeln sind eine Spezialität von Hoi An. Dazu kommt herrliches dünn geschnittenes geschmortes Schweinefleisch, feine, sehr dünne und knusprige Crôutons aus frittierter Schweinehaut. Alles in einer herrlichen dunklen Sauce. Dazu gibt es Mungbohnensprossen, Salatblätter, Thaibasilikum, vietnamesische Melisse und Korianderblätter. Nach Gusto wurde von der ausgesprochen freundlichen Bedienung empfohlen mit der auf dem Tisch stehenden Chillipaste zu würzen. Ich habe dies vorsichtig mit einem kleinen Löffel getan und es war ausreichend scharf und ein absoluter Genuß! Das Ambiente des Restaurants strahlt mit der polierten, dunklen Holztäfelung der Wände und den schweren Möbeln einen klassische Eleganz aus, die mit den vielen weißen Lampions an der Decke einen verspielten, leichten Gegenpol erhält. Da das Restaurant zur verkehrsberuhigten Straße hin offen ist, kann man sich entscheiden Draußen, dennoch überdacht oder drinnen zu speisen, ohne das man von einer übertrieben arbeitenden Klimaanlage zum Überziehen einer Jacke genötigt wird! Insgesamt war dies ein ausgesprochen angenehmer und sehr empfehlenswerter Restaurantbesuch! Das hervorragende Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis wurde uns später erst bei einem Gang über den "Food Night Market" von Hoi An bewußt, wo die Cao Lau Noodles nur 5.000 VND ($ 0,20) weniger gekostet haben. We stumbled across this place on a walk through the old town and we loved it so much we came back the next day! The staff are so friendly and really make the effort to talk to you which is really lovely, service was fast and easy. The menu has a diverse range of Vietnamese dishes- you must try the cau lao noodles these were amazing! The food was hot and delicious and very affordable. The fried vegetable spring rolls were one of our favourites, actually some of the best spring rolls we have had so far! On our second visit the young lady kindly bought us some on the house traditional dessert which was so lovely. On our last day we actually went to go back there for lunch however they were unfortunately closed. All i can say is this is one of the best restaurants we visited in hoi ann. I would...
