Hoàng Mộc Quán — Restaurant in Hội An

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hoàng Mộc Quán restaurant in Hoi An, and it was a delightful experience.

This family-run restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with a great view. The squid dish was the highlight of my meal, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The pork dish was equally delicious, tender and juicy. What stood out the most was the friendly and attentive staff, who made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

We sat at a table on the river's edge in the evening. It was very nice although the large residential project across the river didn't help the view. We ordered four dishes and all of them were delicious. However, the four servings of food were separated by at least 20 minutes of waiting. The rice dish came first, which is not how it's done in Vietnam. Then we waited, and waited. There was only one other table of guests and one take-away order was served during our excruciating wait. Came here on multiple occasions and never had a bad experience and the owners are really nice and helpful. Is open quite late as well so was a nice place for a night cap.
