Ended up here as the Banh Mi place across had a long line - were encouraged by the 4.9 rating. Service was fantastic - Pawan Kumar and Ng in particular bent over backwards to satisfy us. Downstairs was cool and nice until a noisy Indian crowd awaiting to-go dinners occupied a few tables making it uncomfortably loud. The staff were very solicitous and seated us upstairs - unfortunately it was stiflingly hot despite a couple of ACs trying to cool the space. Finally moved back to the cool hall downstairs as the crowd had left. Food however was absolutely terrible - totally surprised by the high ratings. Vada was twice-fried (leftover from lunch) and looked and tasted horrible. Mysore Masala Dosa was soggy and the Chutney and Sambar were overly spicy - in an unbalanced manner. Chicken Biryani had zero flavor. Idlis were fine but the Chutney and Sambar again missed the mark completely. French Fries topped with Kheema was absolutely bizarre - both in looks and taste - tomatoey from a can with chunks of chicken on top. The Malaidar Chicken Tikka, ordered as a substitute for the terrible meal thus far had an odd taste and no grilled flavor. The manager was nice enough to comp the Dosas but would not comp the Vadas for some reason. All of them were inedible. Instead he offered Jamoons in Vanilla Ice Cream, which were just fine. Again the staff were superb but the overall dining experience was a disaster ! Sad, we were looking forward to a fine Indian meal while in Hoi An. The overall experience set me back $50, not at all well-spent.

My wife and I visited Maazi Hoi An 2 in the evening, looking to enjoy a change of atmosphere, and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was inviting, and the setting provided a perfect backdrop for a relaxed dinner. The food was excellent, with a variety of flavorful dishes that truly stood out. Each dish was well-prepared, and the quality was evident in every bite. The service was also commendable—prompt, attentive, and friendly, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Maazi Hoi An 2 is a great spot if you're looking for delicious food and a pleasant dining atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to others.

The food is honestly really really good. Coming from the UK where Indian food is extremely popular and having lived in India I was very surprised with the place. I went basic and safe with the butter chicken and it was chicken breast, really tasty and the garlic naan was fantastic, a real highlight and much better than many I’ve had elsewhere. Unfortunately the restaurant was empty (it shouldn’t be) so there was no atmosphere but the owner and chef were really nice so spent time talking to them for a bit. They also have a branch in da nang.

My god. We learned chemistry in 8th standard yet somehow this lovely, health-conscious place of dining never heard of our glorious king, the 11th element on the periodic table, SODIUM because this restaurant severely lacked it. I must say I wasnt at risk of any heart problems because everything was salt free and I didnt even have to ask. I came here for lunch and didn't get served until DINNER TIME. On top of that the food was served wrong after they took notes. I was the first one here and the LAST to get a meal. Please come here 35 hours prior to when you want your meal because the service is slower than my 75 year old tortoise tory. I could have gone into that kitchen and made the whole menu in less time than they served me my lunch. I don't plan on returning. In short food was bland, service was abysmal, and I wanted to smash a lightbulb into my head because of how long i had to sit here for. 0/10. I think i could have died and reincarnated 57 times and id still be waiting on my masala dosa. This review was more seasoned than my food. That...
