Unfortunately, I have to agree with earlier reviews. The gyros and souvlaki are just some of the lowest quality I've ever had anwhere. They are certainly edible, and there is a little bit of flavor, but they are pretty mediocre otherwise. The "pita bread" does not look or taste remotely like pita bread. Much of the meat seems quite low quality (I got the mixed grill) and otherwise way under-seasoned. Souvlaki or gyro meat is a labor of love, and you need lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, a lot of fresh black pepper, salt, and maybe some natural butter at the very least to season it properly. And you definitely need good meat. Similarly my pita bread did not even look it had been baked.
The tzatziki sauce was decent, though quite stingy on the vegetables, without much seasoning, and also did not seem to have any lemon juice.
My Greek salad had better quality vegetables than a lot of takeaway salads I've had in Vietnam, but still left much to be desired. The vegetables, sizes, and types were certainly higher quality than average for Vietnam but the tomato or cucumber particularly weren't THAT fresh or tasty. There was no additional extra virgin olive oil on the side, despite the menu description. If they used lemon juice or salt and pepper, I couldn't really taste it. I'm happy they are at least offering this salad, but it could be a lot better.
This restaurant needs to massively improve its input ingredient quality, attention to seasoning, and attention to bread.
I've seen European couples move to Vietnam to open European-style restaurants and achieve excellence at prices equal or to or less than what this restaurant charges - in much more expensive cities than Hoi An.
I know it...

Nestled in the heart of Hoi An, Greek Souvlaki Restaurant offers a tantalizing taste of Greece amidst the bustling Vietnamese streets. Upon stepping inside, the ambiance instantly transports you to the Mediterranean, with vibrant blue and white decor reminiscent of the Greek islands.
One of the dishes on the menu is the vegetable souvlaki, I got this with lamb added as to get the extra vegetables. This combines the hearty flavors of lamb with a generous serving of crisp, grilled vegetables. The execution fell slightly short of expectations. While the vegetables are fresh and well-cooked, the lamb lacks the depth of flavor expected from a traditional souvlaki, but was still tender and tasty nevertheless.
Another highlight is the dip and pita bread tasting plate, featuring classic Greek dips such as hummus and tzatziki, alongside a unique chili and feta dip Tirokaffiri. The tzatziki shone with its creamy texture and authentic flavor, transporting diners to the shores of Santorini with each bite. However, the hummus and Tirokaffiri dip, while enjoyable, failed to stand out, lacking the boldness and complexity expected from a Greek-inspired dip.
Despite these minor shortcomings, Greek Souvlaki Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience for those craving a taste of Greece in Vietnam. With its inviting ambiance and a menu brimming with Mediterranean flavors, it's the perfect spot for a casual meal or a taste of nostalgia for travelers longing for the shores of...
Read moreAwful. I spent 40 mins waiting for my food when all of my friends finished their already, and had to ask the waitress eventually: where is my food, turned out she forgot it. Then when she brought me my food, she didn't say sorry or anything. I lose my appetite so i didn't feel like eating it. Bad service. To the owner: If you were there, you would definitely know that your staff or you didn't say sorry. And you would recognised all everyone in my group had food in 15 mins except me. I'm sorry if i made a mistake in counting the time, about 15 mins after i order i hadn't had my food, then 10-15 mins after my friends almost finished their, i hadn't had my food and i asked the girl if she forgot my food or the chef was cooking it. So plus 7mins as you said, i did wait 32-37 mins not 40. I understand every restaurants makes mistakes every single day. But the important thing is accept that, and say sorry to your customers. However, i haven't got any apologies until now. Maybe i was too sour about that, maybe i was moody, and I'm sorry because I'm Vietnamese so i shouldn't write a comment like this and rate 1. I will rate 5 if you want me to but i will not delete my comment because i said the truth about what i experienced and about what i felt. Anyway, thank you so much for your...
