In response to your EXTREMELY RUDE reply to my review, thanks for highlighting your lack of professionalism. BTW - I'm from planet Earth, so I don't know which planet you're referring to because I assume you're from the same planet. What a ridiculous comment to make - LOL!
It seems that I obviously have to clarify the point I made about the overpriced and tasteless pho that you serve. The pho was bland, it had no flavour and the ingredients didn't taste fresh. I hope I've made myself clear (for the second time)! I asked you to make it spicy and you confirmed that it would be. This clearly proves that any pho can be adjusted, but whatever you served was a bowl of flavourless soup.
I've had several bowls of pho and this is easily the worst one that I've tasted in Hoi An, maybe Vietnam and possibly on planet earth. I've also had to adjust my previous ratings sadly after reading your response. #veryunfortunate
ORIGINAL REVIEW
Waste of money and time! The worst pho I've had so far since visiting Vietnam. Where is the flavour and spiciness that I personally requested from one of the staff? As usual, Hoi An's cuisine has been extremely expensive and overly disappointing in terms of freshness and...
Read moreI saw this place on google and thought I'd give it a try since I fancied some Pho.
I asked If they had a table for one available and at that moment they did.
I ordered a beef pho and a fresh coconut and found the pho to be quite nice! The broth had plenty of flavour, yet a bit more salty than I am used to in comparison to other pho's. There was plenty of beef in there and cut spring union. The pho comes with a side plate that contains: fresh grinded chilli, lemon, mint and bean sprouts.
There are also plenty of table condiments to spice up your meal to your liking, if needed. The coconut was cold and of normal quality.
The service is quick and the meals come out promptly after ordering. Considering how busy this place was, they were doing extremely well with the customer flow and the waiting time for the food.
The menu is quite extensive and more normal prized for Vietnamese standards and there were several options for juices as well.
I paid for both dishes...
Read moreWe’ve been touring Vietnam and have visited multiple cities, trying countless local dishes along the way—but Pho Xua, located at 35 Phan Chau Trinh, Hoi An, has easily delivered the best Vietnamese meal we’ve had so far.
I ordered the Miến trộn (N12 on the menu), and it was absolutely incredible—bursting with flavour, beautifully balanced, and incredibly fresh. It’s a dish I’ll be dreaming about long after this trip ends.
The atmosphere is authentic and charming, and while there may be other restaurants in Hoi An with more foot traffic, don’t be fooled—Pho Xua is an absolute gem. The service was equally memorable—BA looked after us with such warmth and attentiveness that it really elevated the entire experience.
This is a must-visit restaurant in Hoi An. If you skip it, you’re missing out on something...
