This was truly a lovely experience! My brother, my (adult) son, and my husband ate here and loved it. My brother is a vegetarian so we’ve been trying to find restaurants that offer a varied selection for him while also serving traditional Vietnamese foods.
This fit the bill and checked all the boxes! We were the only diners and the attention An showed us was incredible and the food was delicious. Her husband is a very talented artist (whom we did not get to meet as he was out of town for a wedding) and we ended up buying two of his pieces. We worried about how we were going to get them home, but An removed the canvases from the frames, rolled them up and put them in a tube for us making this purchase much easier than we thought it would be. (I don’t think credit cards are accepted, we paid for the art in US dollars.)
We tried the set menu, the chicken in clay pot, fried and fresh rolls, and a vegetarian dish. All in all, this was without a doubt one of our most enjoyable meals in Hoi An. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient town and truly a memorable and...

We weren’t sure if this place was open but we walked all the way in and we are so happy that we did. Mrs An is super kind and generous. Her husband is quite an artist. You’ll notice his pieces instantly 💛
We had the discovery platter and a side of fruit with yogurt. It was soooooo good.

She is absolutely the best. This is the local local kind of cooking. We had done a cooking class set up by our hotel which was touristy (still good) but here with Mrs An you get the homey feel and she really takes care of you.
I can’t express how grateful we are that we stumbled...

We did have a slight issue - a couple of us ordered gin and tonics but found our drinks to be more adjacent to tractor fuel. The guy who was running the place told us it was rice wine, rather than gin, but that it was "same same".
Let me tell you, not only was the favour of this moonshine completely unpalatable (and wholly un-gin-like), but 24 hours on, I've got a head that feels like a boiled cabbage and I'm fearful that my hangover might never fully leave me.
Others in our party had beer. They are not complaining of organ failure and they thoroughly enjoyed their drink. I would follow...
