I DONT RECOMMEND THIS RESTO AT ALL!!!! TOURIST TRAP!!! PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END!!!
I ordered a teh tarik and came out like it's been diluted 10X. I can only taste the sugar in it. Very sheer. Feels like they only put 1 tbs of the teh tarik in a 250ml water. I "complained" nicely to the waitress to maybe can add the teh tarik more for a bit. The waitress was then brought my mug to the kitchen, and then the owner of the cafe was out from the kitchen holding my mug and sort of yelling like "who's complaining here?!". She then came to my table yelling at me and say something unclear, me and my parents were still politely asked to add a bit more of the powder. She was then yelling again and say "in Vietnam, teh tarik is like this" which is funny because everyone knows it's so sheer and diluted. I am technically a Malay, where teh tarik originated from. I know how it's supposed to be. I know she doesn't make it from scratch, she must use the instant one! It's a Malay resto (i saw "selamat datang" in front). How can she say something like "in Vietnam?" to a Malay? Also i went to this resto on the other day and ordered a hot chocolate and it also came out very diluted, but this teh tarik is unacceptable. If she also says "in vietnam" as an argument, I GOT A VERY DELICIOUS HOT CHOCHO FOR ONLY VND22k IN HANOI (the hot chocho was around like 55k). And with VND45K (or 40k) i expect for something more DECENT at least.
The owner was then offered to cancel the drink (i only drink it like 2 table spoons) we're agreed and thought it's gonna be free, or at least we only pay like half (the drink was still 90%). She then put the drink on a different table. But guess what? When we pay, IT'S ON THE BILL WITH FULL PRICE!!! LIKE C'MON YOU SAY "CANCEL". IF WE ENDED UP NEED TO PAY IT, JUST PUT IT ON OUR TABLE? BCS AT LEAST WE CAN DRINK THAT HORRIBLE DRINK. IT'S LIKE WE PAY FULL PRICE FOR NOTHING. WE GOT SCAMMED. But we're so tired and lazy to argue with the karen owner lady anymore so we decided to just pay it. In the end, she doesn't say thank you to us when we left the resto. But she does that to the others. A totally horrible experience. And waste of money (their food is...

Read moreAfter this bad experience, I couldn’t even judge the food, because the waiter completely ruined my appetite! Very disappointed, because this bad impression only came from one waiter in particular (mind you, the others were nice), and this from the beginning to the end. He was a young man, the only one among his colleagues who spoke English, but unfortunately, he was extremely unpleasant.
He spoke loudly in Vietnamese as soon as something didn’t suit him, answered curtly several times and displayed a clearly unprofessional attitude. When I left, I wanted to talk to the owner, but he wasn’t there. So I tried to explain the situation to his colleagues via Google Translate, and they were really sorry, even apologizing. I appreciated their gesture.
Towards the end, the server concerned also came to apologize, but I didn’t accept his apology, because it didn’t seem sincere – he just knew that I was unhappy. In short, an unacceptable attitude on his part, but as the rest of the staff was pleasant, I will still...
