The Running Company West End — Attraction in Brisbane City

Would give zero stars if I could.

The owner of this store sold my husband an extremely expensive pair of shoes. After taking some time to do more research, my husband realised they weren’t the right fit for him. When we returned—just two days later and with the shoes completely unworn—the owner was incredibly rude and condescending, as though our change of mind bruised his ego. He flat out refused a refund, saying “you can’t just change your mind,” even though the shoes were in perfect condition.

We ended up accepting store credit and went to the Newstead location instead. The younger staff there were infinitely more helpful and professional. Their consultation was miles better than what we experienced with the older man at the West End store.

Because of this terrible experience, we won’t be returning—and we’ve already told all our running friends to steer clear of this store. If you want a good consultation from someone who actually listens to your needs and recommends shoes based on your running style, DO NOT go to the West...

Highly rate my experience with Mike at the West End store. I wanted someone that was knowledgeable and able to fit me with the right shoe (not just let me try on a bunch off the shelf with no real advice). I got the exact experience I was after.
