The atmosphere, decor and vibe is very well played out and quite authentic to what you'll find in alleyways throughout Japan as you're Izakaya hopping. It's a shame that the food and service didn't match the standard of the decor. The service was not bad, girl waitress did just say "you order from the QR code at the table" but it just didn't feel personalised enough or that level of friendliness and warmth that you would expect of a Japanese based establishment (or any). The chicken, pork and beef skewers were very average in flavour, the fried chicken cartlidge was tasty though.
Ways to improve the experience: People working there should greet customers with the same warmth as Japanese Izakayas yell "Welcome" in Japanese etc, and be more energetic and fun in general. Very easy to-do's. Also need to revisit the flavours and pricing on the skewers. Won't be back unfortunately, purely because there are plenty of Japanese establishments around the nearby area that are far more authentic, that really shine in the service department, which creates a whole different and welcoming experience, with food that makes you say "wow" with every bite. I have faith this place can improve and become a great Izakaya by taking on board the feedback from the majority of the these low...
Read moreCustomer service wasn't great at all. We got there around 6.55pm and most of tables were already full. Front house staff was walking pass me due to serve other table food. That time I asked her want to order. It was 20 minutes later since we got a seat. If I did not ask her I want to order some, I could not order ever. Because nobody cared whether we ordered or not. After she took all my orders, we were waiting our food. In 15 minutes later, one of the kitchen staff passed me the food, but it was not for us. I was sitting close with other customer at the bar table, so she thought we were in the same table. And then she asked me 'would you like to order some then?'. I told her I've already ordered foods 15 minutes ago. After she checked the system and took our order again due to the staff who took it at the first time missed ours. She said I would make yours as fast as I can. But that was all they said. No one apologized.
Food was average.
Not worth it to have it after 40 minutes waiting. And I give you the advice. Hire more staffs and train. It is small place but not enough runs the business with only unfriendly two front...
Read moreCame back here after couple years and the experience was so appaling. Very poor customer service. We were group of 3 families and walked in around 430 last Saturday and they were about to open for dinner. We approached the lady who were preparing the tables outside. Asked if we can get in, however she seems irritated until we got really confused if we can get a table inside or outside. Then i have to ask again and confirm. We end up getting the tables outside which is understandable
Their online ordering not so great as there wasn't any photo . We went inside and ask for a menu. Again the same lady assisted us and handed 1 menu. I came back and asked for more. She replied " just one per table" i have to tell her off we are in a long 3 tables and we need more. Even told her she seems not interested to have more customers and we can just walk away. I guess the management need to look into this and train this lady on the importance of customer experience
Not coming back anymore nor...
