ASIANA Grocery (거복식품) — Attraction in Sydney

This is a very well curated store selling, in addition to a very good range of fresh veges, also almost everything raw and pre-made that is also found in large Chinese supermarkets, Japan marts etc. Also some unique teas etc I dont see elsewhere, like cornsilk, oriental raisin.. Convenient if you dont want to run to 3 places for ethnic foods. They used to import a lot of odd and one-off Japanese snacks but dont see that as much now, a neat way to try new things. The only catch is some of the imported Japanese / Asian snacks have been like 20%+ higher than Chinese shops. I also love that they print pictures from their CCTV of shoplifters! The family service is sweet. On their anniversary, they do a % discount totalling their years in business once a year. One time at the counter buying an ice block I had to run off and get cash as I forgot I had none and was below the eftpos spend. I can't talk about the food, but I can tell you about how good the service is! I called them to ask about whether they had a specific food in stock from another supplier. The guy asked me to send him a link to the product via SMS, which I did, and he promptly called me back and pointed me in the right direction. Minutes later he SMSs me saying if I need any further help, he will try his best, and for me to "have a nice day". Around midday, it was way too busy so I had to come back in the evening. This shop's location is very convenient. Even though it's rivalry shops are bigger than this store, I find that this shop offers more products as well as the organisation of their products seemed efficient. Also I was able find unique things like the Korean red ginseng and ichiran ramen. Staff were very kind and as for the whole experience, I highly recommend this shop.
