I absolutely love this lands short history. I remember visiting St Johns when in school and it triggered a lifelong interest in our history.
The 3 photos are of the marker, stone and plaque of Henry Dodd. Oldest known European marked grave in Oz.
This cemetery is now well maintained, grass and weeds taken care of. My only wish is rejuvenating the stones that have been weathered to the point you can't read and appreciate their value.
I love St Johns. Spend a half hour there. Back right for H. Dodd.
