I don't write reviews and I tried to forget this experience but felt that it needed to be shared with the community. My family (3 rooms in total) stayed at Harrison Hot Spring Resort back in March 2024. This was the worst experience I have ever had staying at a hotel or even at a motel and at the same time we paid more than what it cost to stay at The Empress that we visited recently. 1) We waited almost 1.5 hours to check in, which I have never experienced but was understandable as it was a long weekend. However, when we got to the desk, the person was rude and we were told that we would have to wait another few hours as no clean rooms were available near our family members; at which point we would get a call and would have to wait in the lineup again to get a room. After asking why, the staff told us that they will do us a favor and get us an available room. 2) After check-in I was told to park in the back, but there were no spots available. After circling the lot for over 30 minutes, I asked the bell staff if I can park in the front temporarily until spots were available and was told no and I should go and park in staff parking. Worried about getting a ticket or tow I had to keep coming down to the parking lot to find a spot that was not in staff parking. 3) Once inside the room, we were excited to go visit the pool but there were no bathrobes. I called for service on the phone, but no one would pick up. I went into the hallways and asked one of the staff cleaning the rooms if they had any robes and they said we don't have any robes and you need to call down for the service. My wife was eventually able to track down 2 robes from the front desk, which didn't come with any belt to tie it. This should be a standard item before guests arrive. 4) There was mold at the windows, sink, and around the bathtub. This made staying in the rooms very uncomfortable and I was constantly worried about my kids' health. 5) The beds made a lot of noise and were extremely uncomfortable. Causing back pain for weeks. 6) From the time that we arrived and checked out, there was a spare bed, a plate, and a string on the floor. That's 3 days that no one had cleaned the hallway. 7) For the 2 nights of stay, there was no room service. That means no new towels, no replenishment of soaps, shampoo, and moisturizer. There was a 30ml bottle of body lotion for 4 people for 2 nights of stay? The beds did not get remade and had to be put together as the duvet did not stay within the loose sheets. 8) When we needed new towels, we had to go to the service desk, wait in line to get dry towels. There were no towels near any of the pool facilities and there was no shampoo or body wash at the showers for the pools. 9) The air conditioner in the room did not work regardless of the set temperature, instead we needed to rely on a portable fan and heater from the closet if needed. 10) I came to rest a bit after the pool to watch TV. At 2 separate instances the signal went out. 11) We had to wear wrist bands, which made it seem like we were visiting a public pool and was rather awkward when walking around town. 12) At checkout, the staff member was extremely rude to us when we wanted to change the billing name to match the credit card. I grew up in the lower mainland and have visited the Harrison Hot Springs for over 20 years with my family and always wanted to stay at this hotel. We decided to celebrate my in-laws 40th anniversary at this hotel and it ended up being the worst experience.

Im writing this review after attempting to send feedback through a survey they sent post stay. Upon submitting the survey, it informed me I had already filled it out, which I hadn't. This is beyond frustrating on top of everything listed below. There are several aspects of our experience at this "resort" that left much to be desired, especially considering the premium prices charged. Firstly, expediting the check-in process would greatly enhance the guest experience. The 45-minute wait in line was not only inconvenient but also frustrating, with some guests even remarking that they anticipated breakfast time before being able to check in. Offering faster or early check-in options, even at an additional cost, would be a welcomed improvement. Upon entering our room, it was immediately apparent that certain maintenance and cleanliness standards were lacking. A noticeable burn mark on the carpet of a designated non-smoking room, outdated furnishings, a malfunctioning toilet paper holder, and dirty curtains detracted from the overall ambiance. Additionally, the absence of basic amenities such as a duvet on the bed and robes in the room was disappointing. It felt as though the room had been overlooked in terms of housekeeping and attention to detail. Addressing these issues would undoubtedly elevate the guest experience and align more closely with the expectations associated with a resort of this caliber. This getaway was meant to be a special birthday treat. My husband and I excitedly booked the bed and breakfast package to fully indulge in the resort experience. However, in the morning, we discovered that the package we thought we had selected wasn't included. Despite our efforts to clarify, we were informed that we had merely booked a standard room and weren't given any option to upgrade. Upon check-out, I raised the issue with the staff regarding the apparent oversight in our booking and also inquired about the amenities everyone else seemed to be receiving. Regrettably, the response was a simple apology, leaving us feeling dissatisfied, especially considering the hefty price tag attached to our room. It was disheartening to find that the resort seemed to lack proper maintenance despite the high fees charged. Our hopes for a tranquil evening by the "quiet zone" pool was disrupted by the rowdy behaviour of other guests with their loud antics, causing us to leave. While Harrison itself offered some delightful experiences at other establishments, and the view from the room was nice, our overall stay fell short of expectations. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this resort in the future or recommending it to anyone.

**Review for Harrison Hot Springs** Harrison Hot Springs boasts a beautiful location with naturally soothing hot springs, making it a potential gem for visitors seeking relaxation and picturesque views. However, my recent stay left me with mixed feelings due to several noticeable issues that need addressing. Firstly, the property is in dire need of repairs. The broken elevator, broken lights, and cracked tiles in the pool area are not only eyesores but also safety concerns. It's disappointing to see such a promising venue fall short due to a lack of maintenance. Investing in these minor fixes would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Additionally, the overwhelming amount of signage throughout the property detracts from the otherwise serene environment. The constant bombardment of "don't do this" signs creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. Redirecting the budget used for these signs towards fixing the broken amenities would be a more productive and guest-friendly approach. While the hotel's age is evident, it has the potential to exude charm with a bit of refurbishment. Unfortunately, the current state of cleanliness and upkeep is below par for the price charged. At $350 per night, guests should expect a higher standard of quality. The dirty common areas, broken fixtures, and substandard pool chairs do not align with the premium pricing. On a positive note, the hot springs themselves are delightful and provide a relaxing experience. However, this enjoyment is marred by the excessive signage and the need to overlook various maintenance issues. In summary, Harrison Hot Springs could truly shine with some targeted investments in repairs and a reduction in intrusive signage. The location is undeniably beautiful, and with a bit of care, the hotel could offer a more fitting and enjoyable experience for its guests.

Probably one of the worst hotels I've been to. I normally don't put any reviews for my bad experiences but this one really made us no choice. I spent 400$ for one night The hotel was super old but that was not our problem. The receptionist was an old lady and very very rude! Firstly she insisted that they don't accept debit to pay the fees (that was ok!) but then when my partner gave her the credit card she kept asking and challenging my partner that the photo on her credit card is not her!! in a very rude way (Is that really your business!??? To challenge people's photo?) Then she didn't even tell us that the hotel charges 100$ security deposit! (Isn't it your job to tell people how much exactly they are paying?!) We went to the room, and surprisingly the bathroom was full of human hair! And wasn't really cleaned! And the funniest thing! They didn't (apparently forgot!) to put the one thing for which people certainly come to this hotel : the pool robes! How's this possible that you (as a staff) forget such an important thing And the reason I have problem with this is that when I called the front desk and asked for it, they answered again in a rude way (without even apologizing) that you should wait! (It took a few hours for them to bring it to us so we almost lost the eve pool time for the only night we booked there. The coffee machine in the room! I don't need to describe, just see the photos Is it that hard to clean it? I'm surprised how the cleaning staff and that receptionist are working there! Does this place have any manager or someone to really monitor how their employers are working? One word: Terrible! The only thing that is nice about this place is the location. Wish I could give 0 stars

I had the pleasure to DJ a few weddings and events here this year. Beautiful Ceremony space in the gardens and the Reception ballrooms are big and tidy. Food was great too! Hotel Pools and Hot tubs are the best. Great spot for a wedding - DJ Vanstone ‘Zapped Productions DJ’s For Hire’
