I had the “Chicken Breast Supreme Kieve” Too bad I did not take photos What I received was about 1-3/4 cups of mashed potatoes which had some cheese melted in it. It was a mountain of potatoes. A small piece of chicken breast with browned skin and a piece of back bone sticking up… 3 asparagus which were the thinnest I have ever seen, almost like a thin wire each ( I would have put them aside for a veggies dish and replaced them with 5-6 nice and plump asparagus) one small whole carrot and one slice of steamed yellow beet. My friend had one of the fish dishes . The wild rice bed was not good. Undercooked with lots of slices of onions. It did not look or taste good. She was happy that I passed 2/3 of the mashed potatoes to her. Her fish was OK and certainly more than the 3 tablespoons of chicken that I received. At over $130 for both of these dishes + one alcoholic beverage ( Simple house white wine) it was just not worth THAT. It took good 30 minutes from the time they took our order to the time the food came to us. We joked about someone not succeeding in catching the chicken or fishing. The bread was warm but it could have used at least 5 more minutes in the oven. It was too pale. The point of warm fresh or refreshed bread is the CRUST. The place had too many empty tables, it is also a very large restaurant. They could benefit by having drapes to close areas that are not occupied. That gives a better feeling to customers. I have seen that method in Montreal. The drapes are installed on the ceiling reducing visually the restaurant area leaving the empty tables out of site.
If the number of empty tables is much greater than occupied tables it makes one feel frankly uncomfortable
By the time we finished eating there was someone changing table clothes already making us feel we had to leave, although the band had one more round of songs to play as they announced AND some people in a nearby table had just been served. I saw the gentleman had another mountain of potatoes and when we met next day at the lake, we talked. They felt exactly the same way. Not enough meat, or veggies and an astronomical amount of potatoes. The lady actually said she filled in with bread. Too many issues.
I can say that the band played very well and I LOVED their choice of songs and their performance was absolutely lovely.
Did I love my meal? Nope!
I am not a large person but I do not like to leave a restaurant hungry. I choose to eat very little carbohydrates. Mainly lean meats and veggies, in that order. Only when I go out I may eat 2-3 spoons of carbs. So choosing chicken BREAST I expected a generous portion of the largest part of the bird.
The server was nice and courteous. We didn’t say anything to her because the delay and the dishes are not her fault. That comes from the person deciding the portions. She has nothing to do with that...

We have been loyal patrons of the Harrison Hot Springs Resort (and the Copper room) for over 20 years. Many amazing memories of this place, including my daughter absolutely having a BLAST on the children's dance floor with the live band, and disco lights! When we saw that the Copper Room reopened, we were SO excited to bring our other children, and our guests with us to experience a fun night of dancing! As soon as we arrived, we were told that they did not have a children's dance floor (despite what is advertised on their website), and if children wanted to dance, they were expected to be holding an adults hand at all times. I don't know about your kids, but my kids love to bust a move, and I'm not always able to keep up. This put a huge damper on the evening. While the dance floor was completely empty, under my watchful eye, the kids were dancing. I was very engaged from my seat, and made sure they were not running, loud, or annoying anyone. This went on for 30 minutes, with zero complaints. At this point, there were many other kids up there as well. It was really so fun to watch! A few of the adults joined them, then, to my surprise, Sandy came to me, to tell me that we broke the rules. It would've be one thing if she was understanding of the circumstances we were in due to their false advertising, BUT she was so unpleasant and unapologetically rude. She even denied that they advised that online. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came down, spoke to Sandy for 15 minutes while I stood there waiting, then left. I then went up to the desk and asked if I was still able to speak with a manager, and she just said "she left". After a couple minutes of unpleasant conversation, the manager came and talked to my husband. My friend had to take all the kids out of the restaurant as they were starting to notice that I was upset. I left the restaurant in tears, and even while Martin's service was great, and the food was decent, we will never ever ever go back. I will tell as many families as I know who frequent this resort, to avoid the Copper Room...
Read moreMy wife and I tried the copper room for the first time. They do have a relaxed dress code, so guys, make sure you are in a collared shirt and no sweat pants. I was fine in a golf shirt and lululemon pants. The atmosphere was awesome. Live music started at 18:30. The band eas really good and played a blend of different music.
Our server was Kelly and she was awesome. She had a great sense of humour and was knowledgeable on the menu. Everyone was very attentive. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff.
Dinner came with a basket of rolls that were fresh and not dry.
We were disappointed that they have taken the lamb dish and 2 person share plate off the menu as we have read good things.
I ordered the three course meal and chose starberry pecan salad, NY Steak and cheese cake. My wife ordered a ceaser salad and cannaloni pasta. The wife had a mint Juliet which was strong for her but refreshing. When she mentioned this, Kelly without being asked, immediately brought her some soda to water it down a bit.
The salads were really good with fresh ingredients. Both had the perfect amount of dressing on them. The palate cleanser was raspberry sorbet and it was a nice touch and tasty in its own right.
My steak was medium rare and perfectly cooked with peppercorn sauce. The outside had a chargrill to it, so they must have cooked it on a flame. Was very tasty. The cannaloni was very nice and the pasta was cooked perfectly (al dente).
Desserts were very nice. Cheesecake was perfect density and had strawberry purée. Chocolate lava cake with ice cream scoop was moist and rich.
Overall, really enjoyed our meal here and...
