Harrison Country Club RV Resort — Hotel in Harrison Hot Springs

The accommodation itself was fine. I travel with my small, hypoallergenic Yorkie, who is my emotional support animal. When I mentioned this to the owner, I was met with some resistance, and they requested a $200 deposit via e-transfer which I was happy to provide.|I'm a quiet guest and was in town for canoe races. My neighbours, however, partied loudly into the night. Around 9:30 PM, the owner knocked on my door to “check in,” which felt intrusive and unnecessary, especially since I was already in bed. Still, I let it go it's summer and people are on vacation.|At checkout, I was told to leave the key on the kitchen table and was assured my deposit would be returned after cleaning. I followed up multiple times via email and text with no response. Eventually, I reached someone at the front desk, who said they’d have their daughter follow up. Shortly after, I received a text saying she would email me soon.|The email I received stated that they were keeping half of my deposit, citing garbage not taken out, dishes in the sink, and hair on the bed. I admit I left a few dishes because I had to rush out for my race, but I know for certain there was no pet hair in the bed. My dog doesn’t shed, she’s hypoallergenic, has very short fur, and is well-groomed.|Their contract mentions withholding a portion of the deposit for excessive cleaning. That definitely wasn’t the case. I believe this was an unfair decision, possibly influenced by bias against me bringing a dog.|I won’t be staying here again and will be sharing my experience with my canoe...

I do give it 5 stars for location but 1 star for how ridiculously small our pull through site was. So close to the people on either side, it was ridiculous. We could not extend our awning all the way out as it was in the way of the people beside us. On the other side, there was only about an inch to spare past our slideout. When it was time to leave with our 30 foot trailer, trying to get around the corner in their park... it was scary! We had approx 2 inches clearance from a fence on our right and the same clearance from vehicles parked on my left!||Also they wanted an extra $5 per day for using their cable! I've never heard of that being an extra charge elsewhere. ||On the plus side,... The owners seemed nice. We used our own shower & bathroom so did not see theirs.|| I certainly will...

We were looking for a campsite to be close to the lake, this is it. From what we could guess probably 90% of the sites are rented by full timers, with only a few that are for short term. We were there 4 days and therefore had a good opportunity to experience the goings-on. One night there were these ya-hoos on the south side that played annoying music all day and in to the night.. not ideal for a small tight place. It is clean and well maintained but you have no breathing space because there is no buffer from one lot to another. The hosts were very professional and accommodating albeit a little sticky, but then I think you have to be to put up with transient campers. All in all, close to the lake, too...
