I recently dined at this restaurant with three friends and overall, it was an average experience. The food was about fair, but I was disappointed with the billing process. When the waitress brought the bill, I couldn’t clearly hear her due to her accent, and I didn’t want to interrupt or seem rude. Because I wanted to host the meal, I paid quickly and added a 15% tip, which brought the total to around $120. It was only afterward that my friend pointed out that a 15% gratuity was already included in the bill. I was surprised and a bit frustrated because all four of us never heard the waitress mention that. When I asked if the tip could be adjusted, the staff told me it wasn’t possible because it was indicated in the menu and the waitress had mentioned it. The owner confirmed this saying that they wouldn’t adjust the tip. While I recognize it was my mistake not to check the bill more carefully or clarify earlier, I believe I should have had the opportunity to reconsider my tip after being informed. Paying twice the amount for 4 bowls of noodles and 2 rice rolls—totaling around $120—felt excessive for a quick, casual meal, especially when the gratuity was already included. I hope the restaurant can improve their communication and billing clarity to avoid misunderstandings like this in the future. The experience left me a bit disappointed, and I wanted to share this perspective so others can be...
Read moreThis weekend we went to Harrison Hot Springs. We were looking for place to have dinner but my daughter didn't want to dine in so we decided to take out. The guy who looked like an owner was nice to take an order and another serving lady also seems like nice. However when we arrived hotel and started having our pick-up food suddenly I realized one of my food missing. I felt bad because their customers in the restaurant were few. I called them and ask to deliver to us but they couldn't do it but they said it will be fine if we go there again next morning. Actually before my leaving with food, ask of 3 set chopstics in the pack but there were only 2 set of utensils so my daughter and I shared chopstics. Another problem was when ordered grilled marinated pork, ask the guy it will be rice together but I realized there was noodle I found in hotel. The taste of food is very common nothing special if I rate their taste and amount maybe 2.5 or 3. If you come from Seattle(even though I live in BC in Canada) you definately feel disappointed. Next day, the same lady said sorry to us and made the shrimp wrap double(2rolls) but already my spirit was hurt. If they think it already fix their problems then they should know how to be professional to the...
Read moreHow so selfish and impudent restaurant is here !!! If you don't want to argue with restaurant owner, read this short story detailly first and then go in this Vienam restaurant.
The reason's is ; Jalapeno is not serving, ofcourse must be serve it at Vietnam restaurant. Owner seems like a looking for only money and the service is next. 3 The service charge (=Tips) is on the receipt automatically without customers agree. Customer does not know that tip is already counted on the receipt in this way. So the customer enters the amount in the interrac machine to give a normal tip. Still, the waiter is watching from the side and doesn't tell that the tip has already been calculated. This is totally over tip collecting without any agree by customer and this kind of behaviour is totally inhuman and degrading treatment to customer. If you request money back, the owner answer is "No" immediately. 9.How do you think about this kind of tip collecting way? If you feel free with this treatment then you are the happy barbarian.
Thank's for your time...
