Picnic - Coffee & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Harrison Hot Springs

We went here twice while staying at the Hotsprings Resort. We came one night for ice cream and both had the dairy-free coconut ice cream mixed with fruit (strawberry & raspberry) drizzled with chocolate. It was really fresh tasting and delicious!

I would have given this place 5 stars, but we came back the next morning for coffee and it was so bad. My partner got an Americano and I had a latte, however, their espresso machine is one of those machines you find at a gas station where you press a button for the corresponding drink and it did not taste good at all. I'm not sure what was going on with the milk for the latte but it was in a separate kettle thing and I could tell they were having troubles getting the milk hot. When I was handed the drink after waiting a bit, it was less than luke warm. If this place invested in having a good quality espresso machine, it would make such a difference for customers like us who couldn't find any decent coffee...

A great little addition to the Harrison area! Love that it’s open late!

It was our family’s first time visiting for a late afternoon snack. We tried the Oreo Croffle, Mixed Berry Ice Cream, Caramel Macchiato, and Iced Matcha Latte.

The Oreo Croffle with vanilla ice cream was a hit delicious combo and the kids loved it! The fresh mixed berry ice cream was also really good definitely a must-try.

The only letdown were the drinks. I was excited to try them, but both missed the mark. The Caramel Macchiato was only filled halfway (for $7!) the caramel just sat at the bottom. The Iced Matcha Latte was watered down with barely any matcha flavor.

Overall, I’d give 4 stars for the food (not drinks), friendly staff, and clean environment.
