Islands Patio & Lounge — Attraction in Harrison Hot Springs

We used to be regular guests when we used to live close to the Canadian border. We used to enjoyed and love that place. We were so happy that we were able to get back and enjoy the beautiful resort for my birthday. I had the most sad experience in the bar. I ordered a salad and it was very good, when I have eaten like 1/2 of i I founded a black, long and straight hair in my plate. By the way, my hair is blond and curly and my husband’s hair is very short. I called our female waiter (she had a long black hair ponytail, blue eyes and she said she is been working there for like 20 something years, her name is Susan) to show her the hair in the plate. The most rude comment from her was: “maybe is yours..” I Couldn’t believe what she said… At that moment I should’ve asked for the manager but I didn’t want to make a bigger deal and finish my birthday with a bitter taste on my mouth. I’m a person that ALWAYS write good reviews but this was very bad.. I wish I could put 5 stars but with that kind of service of that...

To start… our server, Jamie was exceptional! Our drinks were very reasonably priced compared to the other restaurants/lounges in Harrison. The food was amazing!!! I ordered the Clubhouse sandwich with a salad in place of fries and my salad came out with fresh springs, cucs, fresh strawberries & goat cheese. I could only eat 1/2 my sandwich after this huge salad. My husband had the burger which was so delicious! The fries were cooked perfect and the gravy was the best we’d ever tasted. The atmosphere was so relaxing … looking out at the lake and feeling a wonderful breeze. We’ve been to Harrison many times and just found this amazing place! The fact that this restaurant is in the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa makes it easy to enjoy food with a great view. The patio dining experience here is very relaxing. We ordered hot chicken wings, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, chicken sandwich , and nachos. The nachos resemble a little hillock! We couldn’t finish them! The servers are very friendly and cleaned the table while cracking jokes, when I clumsily dropped my drink on it. Service here was impeccable!
