The gondola to the top of the mountain is dangerous!
While returning from the mountain to the ground, my mother attempted to take a picture through the windows on the gondola door. To our shock, the door suddenly opened. My mother, who was standing by the door, along with my 3-year-old son, was at risk of falling out. Fortunately, my friend reacted quickly and pulled my mother back, while my father held my son, preventing a potentially catastrophic situation. The door closed afterward, but it did not seem to fully lock.
We were all shaken by this experience and remain deeply concerned about what could have happened, given how far we were from the ground. The cabin number was 33, and I can provide pictures if needed.
Secondly, I would like to express my disappointment with the service we received at the ticket booth. Despite clearly stating that we wished to purchase four adult tickets (which was witnessed by members of my group), we were overcharged for Six adults tickets. When I returned to the ticket booth immediately to request a refund, the staff member who sold us the tickets was attending to other customers. I approached two other staff members who were not busy at the time, but both declined to assist me and instructed me to wait for the original staff member.
When we finally spoke to the staff member who sold us the tickets, there was no apology for the error, and he was failed to issue a refund or provide a receipt. This lack of resolution and customer service is disappointing, especially given that your company caters to many tourists.
We then had to come back to the village the next day and seek help from the information center. They informed us that while they could see the return of two tickets, the total amount had not been deducted. They proceeded to help us issue the refund. we do appreciate their assistance.
However, it would be beneficial to have a screen facing the customer to confirm the order before payment and train the staffs better to avoid this kind of situation.
We hope to return in the future, but improvements in customer service...
Read moreBeautiful views and a fun experience. The gondola lift overall seemed well maintained and to run smoothly. All the staff was helpful and friendly, such as the person working at the ticket counter and the people directing guests to get on and off the cars. The plastic windows in all of the gondola cars were unfortunately cloudy and covered in deep scratches. Mostly graffiti from people scratching in names and initials. This limited the view some, and also prevented clear pictures, which was disappointing. We enjoyed the views at the top of the mountain with multiple look outs to choose from. Including the cafe seating area, a lookout tower, and various platforms with benches and Adirondack chairs. The cost of the gondola ride was about $60 (CAD) for two adults for the 20-minute round trip. We chose to buy tickets when we arrived, and only needed to stand in the ticket line about 10 minutes. The line to get on the gondola was very short, maybe 2 minutes, with the process running smoothly...
Read moreIf you are in Mont Tremblant, this is one activity that is a must. It was summer when we came and the views are breathtaking.
The Covid-19 gondola procedures were very strict. Sanitize you hands, wash them and every other gondola was used. The ones that were empty, were spayed with disinfectant and did one trip to dry. The same process on the way back. Only party members were allowed in the same gondola.
At the top the views were spectacular! You could see the entire area from all different vantage points. To the north was the national park, with great views. In addition there were a few great view points.
There is free parking, a short distance from the village. Make sure you get there early. In addition, you can save money on the gondola tickets is you buy them online 48 hours in advance. Is possible, I would recommend that approach. It is still worth the cost to go up. Although, there were people walking up. However, that would be...
