A Memorable Day at the Montreal Science Centre – Fun for All Ages!
Our visit to the Montreal Science Centre was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. We went with family and friends, and the experience was engaging, educational, and filled with fun for everyone, regardless of age. Located right in the heart of Montreal’s Old Port, the Science Centre is easy to get to, and the stunning waterfront views add to the charm of the visit.
The exhibitions are incredibly well-designed. One of the highlights for us was the hands-on approach – every exhibit invites you to touch, try, and explore. Kids loved experimenting with the different science stations, and even the adults in our group couldn’t resist diving into the interactive displays. It’s refreshing to find a place where science is made so accessible and exciting. The focus on learning through play made the experience enjoyable while still being informative.
Another standout was the IMAX® TELUS Theatre. The large-format films were immersive and beautifully presented. We chose to watch a documentary about our planet’s oceans, and the visuals were breathtaking. It was a perfect complement to the exhibits inside the centre, tying together the themes of discovery and exploration.
The Science Centre does an excellent job catering to a wide age range. The younger kids in our group were fascinated by the “Clic!” area, designed especially for early learners, while older kids enjoyed experimenting with robotics and digital technologies. Adults found the more in-depth scientific displays just as captivating. It was clear that the centre’s mission is to ignite curiosity, and it absolutely succeeded with our group.
We also appreciated how friendly and knowledgeable the staff were. They were always on hand to explain exhibits, answer questions, and guide us through the different sections. Their enthusiasm for science was contagious, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.
The layout of the centre is spacious and easy to navigate, even with a large group. There were plenty of places to sit and take breaks, and the on-site café provided a good selection of snacks and drinks. We took advantage of the outdoor spaces as well, enjoying the picturesque view of the Old Port between activities.
Another thing worth noting is how inclusive and accessible the Science Centre is. Information panels are available in both French and English, and the facilities are well-equipped for strollers and wheelchairs. It’s clear that they’ve put a lot of thought into making the experience enjoyable for everyone.
Overall, our day at the Montreal Science Centre was an unforgettable experience that blended fun, learning, and quality time with family and friends. It’s the kind of place that leaves you with a sense of wonder and a desire to come back for more. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Montreal, this is a must-see destination that we wholeheartedly recommend.
We’ll definitely be back on our next trip – there’s still so much more...

I finally made it to the Montreal Science Centre to check out their new Banquet Exhibit, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! This exhibit isn’t just about food; it’s about the science, history, and culture behind what we eat, and it’s presented in the kind of fun, interactive way that makes you rethink every bite.
From the start, you’re pulled into an immersive experience that makes food science accessible (and honestly, fascinating). One of my favorite parts was the sensory lab, where you can test how factors like color, sound, and texture influence the way we perceive flavors. There’s also a deep dive into food sustainability, showing just how much our choices impact the world around us. It’s thought-provoking, but in a way that makes you want to experiment in your own kitchen rather than feel overwhelmed by the state of the planet.
For kids (or the kid in all of us), the interactive stations are a blast, and there’s plenty to learn whether you’re a foodie, a science nerd, or just someone who enjoys a good hands-on experience.
Even beyond Banquet, the Montreal Science Centre always delivers. The Explore exhibit is still packed with mind-bending physics experiments, and Fabrik is the ultimate creative playground for anyone who likes to tinker and build. And of course, if you have time, catching a documentary on that massive IMAX screen is always worth it.
The Banquet Exhibit is a brilliant addition to the Science Centre—engaging, fun, and full of “aha!” moments. If you’re looking for something unique to do in Montreal, this is absolutely worth checking out. Whether you go with family, friends, or solo, you’ll leave with a new appreciation for what’s...

Firstly, the location of the Science Centre is fantastic, situated in the heart of the Old Port of Montreal. This adds an extra layer of charm, with stunning views of the waterfront and easy accessibility.
The exhibits were nothing short of amazing. The interactive displays, especially the ones in the interactive science zone, allowed visitors to engage directly with scientific concepts in a hands-on manner. My personal favorite was the human body exhibit, which used cutting-edge technology to provide detailed insights into how our bodies function.
The IMAX® theater was another highlight of the visit. Watching a science documentary on such a large screen with impeccable visual and sound quality was an experience in itself. The 3D effects brought the content to life, making it both an educational and thrilling experience.
Moreover, the staff at the Montreal Science Centre were incredibly knowledgeable and eager to provide assistance. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to explain complex topics made the visit even more enjoyable.
Overall, the Montreal Science Centre is a top-notch destination for anyone interested in exploring the wonders of science and technology.
