After my visit to the unforgettable Hanging Umbrella Man, I was genuinely excited to see the infamous Pissing Men! Forget polite, gilded fountains Prague is home to the most irreverent, unapologetically cheeky duo in all of Europe, courtesy of notorious Czech artist David Černý. This isn't just water play; it's a slow-motion, bronze ballet of male figures, hips rotating mechanically, diligently spelling out quotes into a pool shaped like the Czech Republic.

These two bronzed beefcakes are more than just a laugh. They're a brilliant, subtle, and slightly sarcastic comment on national pride and public life. They’re deliberately defiant, openly mocking the rigidity of the traditional public monument while literally taking the piss out of stuffy art history.

What makes them truly engaging? The sheer, unblinking commitment of the act. Their hips swivel, their bronze faces are frozen in concentration, and they manage to be simultaneously absurd, crude, and conceptually genius. It's a fantastic, slightly juvenile way to inject some humor into a beautiful, historic city. If you appreciate art that's not afraid to be a little bit naughty and a lot thought-provoking, you'll love watching this magnificent hydraulic display.

Pro Tip: This landmark is located in the courtyard of the Franz Kafka Museum in Malá Strana. The best part? It's right next to Prague's worlds narrowest alley a great two-for-one stop! Also, you can sometimes text a message to a specific number, and the statues will spell your text out in the water! Now that's...

The Piss sculpture (Golden Shower) Čůrající postavy is a must-see attraction in Prague for those who appreciate unique and controversial art. This installation, created by the Czech artist David Černý, features two larger-than-life bronze statues of men urinating into a shallow pool of water. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is undeniably eye-catching and thought-provoking.

What's even more impressive is the setting in which this sculpture is located. It is situated in a small courtyard surrounded by beautiful historic buildings in Prague's Old Town. The juxtaposition of the modern, irreverent artwork against the traditional architecture is striking and adds to the sculpture's overall impact.

Visitors can view the Piss sculpture from various angles, including from a balcony above. The water in the pool is even dyed yellow to complete the illusion of the statues relieving themselves. While some may find the sculpture vulgar, it is undoubtedly a memorable and unique piece of art that adds to Prague's already rich cultural scene.

Overall, the Piss sculpture (Golden Shower) Čůrající postavy is a bold and daring installation that is worth seeing for those who appreciate unconventional art. Its location in the heart of Prague's historic center only adds to its impact and makes for a...

The Urinating Sculptures, created by renowned artist David Černý, are a surprising and humorous addition to Prague's rich collection of public art. Located near the Kafka Museum, these sculptures depict two bronze figures urinating into a small pool, and their moving hips spell out quotes and messages with the stream of water.

The sculptures are both amusing and thought-provoking, embodying Černý's distinctive style that often blends satire with artistic expression. They certainly add a unique and playful element to the area, drawing smiles and laughter from visitors.

While the sculptures might initially seem shocking, they quickly become a memorable highlight of any visit to Prague. The Urinating Sculptures are a great example of how art can be both entertaining and intriguing, making them a must-see for anyone...

Just in front of museum of Kafka, after enjoying the narrawest way , a funny fountain of David Černý provocative called “Piss.” Two bronze men face each other, urinating into a basin shaped like the Czech Republic. Their mechanical hips and phalluses move, spelling out words and messages in the water — even texts sent by visitors. At first it looks like pure shock-art, but it’s also sharp social satire: men literally “pissing” on the nation, poking fun at politics, nationalism, and Czech society itself. Some find it hilarious, others tasteless — but nobody forgets it. Like much of Černý’s work, it’s bold, absurd, and makes you leave both amused and thoughtful.. I recommend all to visit it
