If you're looking for a cozy and inviting restaurant in Prague, Brick's is the place for you. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the service is top-notch. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that the staff takes great pride in their work.
The menu at Brick's is diverse and offers a range of options to suit all tastes. The dishes are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and are beautifully presented. Whether you're a meat lover, a vegetarian, or have special dietary requirements, you'll find something to enjoy here.
One of the standout features of Brick's is their attention to detail. From the carefully curated wine list to the hand-crafted cocktails, every aspect of the dining experience has been thoughtfully considered. The restaurant also offers a beautiful outdoor seating area, perfect for al fresco dining on warm summer evenings.
Although the food and service are outstanding, Brick's can be a bit pricey. While the quality justifies the price, it might not be accessible to everyone. Moreover, the restaurant can be quite busy and loud at peak hours, so reservations are highly recommended.
Overall, Brick's is an excellent restaurant that offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The attentive service, high-quality ingredients, and beautiful presentation make it a great place for a special occasion or a night out with friends. However, the high prices and occasional noise levels are the only things that prevent me from giving it a full 5 stars.
To improve, the restaurant could consider offering more affordable options, especially during off-peak hours. They could also work on reducing noise levels by adding sound-absorbing materials. But even with these small criticisms, I highly recommend Brick's to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Prague. It left a great impression on me, and I would be happy to return...
Read moreSure! Here's a polished and professional rewrite of your review that maintains your disappointment while highlighting the positives:
As someone who considers a fine dining experience a highlight of my travels, this restaurant was a major letdown.
Let’s start with what went well: the service was excellent. Our waiter, Martin, went above and beyond, constantly apologizing on behalf of the kitchen's missteps. The view of the Charles Bridge was stunning, and the small details—such as the option of alcohol-free beer and still or sparkling water—were appreciated. The appetizers were beautifully plated and genuinely delicious: prawns with fennel, beets with arugula, and a warm pumpkin and chickpea salad stood out as the high points of the meal.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
The restaurant’s board advertised a “catch of the day,” and a variety of fresh fish options raised my expectations. But after placing my order, Martin came back to tell me that my chosen fish was unavailable. I selected another fish—only to be told it was only served as a 1kg (2lb) portion. I tried another option, and heard the same. What reputable restaurant serves a single diner a full kilogram of fish?
Frustrated, I settled for the risotto. It was uninspired, and completely forgettable. The coup de grâce- —we ordered a glass of Moscato. It wasn’t available. Martin, ever gracious, apologized yet again and suggested a different wine. Fine. But when the bill came, we were charged for the Moscato we never received. Sloppy, careless, and unprofessional.
I truly wanted this to be a memorable culinary experience, but aside from the view and appetizers, & the very gracious waiter Martin, it fell far short. A disappointing...
Read moreOur recent visit to this restaurant was mixed - while the setting and food left a positive impression, the service fell short of expectations.
We had reserved an outdoor table specifically for the amazing views overlooking the river and Charles Bridge. Despite the manager suggesting an indoor table for more comfort, we were of the understanding that the terrace was heated to an extent. However, upon arrival, we found ourselves seated at one of the only tables without heaters. This wasn’t a big issue as it wasn’t too cold, and we could see other customers with blankets. When we requested blankets the manager's response was unexpectedly rude. He insinuated that it was our fault for not heeding his suggestion to sit indoors. This response was not only unwelcoming but also unprofessional, leaving a sour taste in our mouths.
Service, unfortunately, mirrored this initial setback. Service throughout the meal was sluggish. Notably, it took an excessive amount of time for the staff to take our drink orders. Even then, our drinks took a long time to arrive and only came with our starters, including the water.
Despite these initial setbacks, the food was a highlight. The food was delicious and presented really well. Also the setting was stunning!
Our waitress, to her credit, provided a friendly service throughout the meal. It's a shame that her efforts were overshadowed by the rudeness of the manager and the sluggish service.
In summary, while the restaurant boasts a stunning setting and great food, service efficiency and managerial attitude...
