A really great museum in an awesome historical building, featuring a valuable and well-presented exhibition of all kinds of money that have been used in Estonian territory. It's free of charge, offering a great opportunity to learn about history, technology, and the diversity of capital. Suitable for kids as well. One of the most engaging parts was observing the full sets of coins from all European countries, including ones I hadn’t even thought existed, like Monaco, Vatican City, Andorra, and the newly accepted Croatia. If available, you can even buy some commemorative Estonian €2 coins at face value as a souvenir. However, keep in mind the specific schedule—the museum closes as early as 16:00 on...

Very nice to visit (especially when it's raining). Free entrance. The building shows impressive features, such as a round staircase, stained glass and high ceilings. Jugendstil elements inside. The exhibition is all about money, but also has a few historical wax figures. A lot of of screen displays (and yes, in English too!). Replay a game of chess, and learn a little about money, finances and some Estonian related history. Glance at an old gold bar in...

This was a great museum. Must visit for the entry staircase alone! Do make sure to visit all the rooms (merchants'/artistocrats' room - peoples' room - treasury). The treasury had a multimedia enactment of a medieval punishment for counterfeiting that's well-made. You learn a lot about money - its history, evolution, and the banking system as it stands. You also learn loads about Estonian culture and history. And it's FREE. Highly...

I recommend this place for sure. Money talks about history here. I found out about the history of Estonia which was interesting and useful. The admission is free and I took my time there, around 2 hours. Definetely go to the basement and don't skip the rooms :) I am sure you'll find it interesting as well.

It's a free museum, I would say there isn't much content, also a significant portion of the exhibition is in Estonian, as such, only worth it because it's free, and worth coming to see the art deco architecture alone.
