Today we went to buy 3 pieces of cake for take away at this café. We have never experienced this bad customer service. The girl at the till didn’t listen or understand English at all and gave incorrect order for us. We asked her to add one more piece of cake. She threw the cake box on the counter and started to behave very rude and rolling her eyes at us. She and her colleague made a scene out of the situation when we kindly asked to correct the order. They never said hello, thank you or good bye which is very basics of good manners and good customer service. We have been to many cities and countries before and never have experienced this bad customer service ever before! The most ridiculous thing in that situation was that they had a jar for tipping and do they seriously think anyone will give them tip for good service when they behave this nasty?
We can't recommend this place for anyone who is visiting Tallinn. They do seem to have a problem with foreign customers and just want to get your money. We highly recommend others to go somewhere else, maybe a self-service supermarket would be better that this...
Read moreTerrible service. I had to stand in front of the cashier for a good 5 minutes while the girls were in front of me literally doing nothing. They looked at me different times and ignored me completely, while I was standing there waiting to order. A girl shamelessly looked at me and then started to do some trivial stuff life washing a couple of cups. She was literally one meter away from me. I finally asked if I could order and they got my order. Not a smile, not a kind word, nothing. I had never encountered such shamelessly bad service. The piece of cake I got (crème brûlé) was alright but looked much better than it tasted. Overall negative experience and really low vibes. Go...
Read moreA perfect place to go if you’re nostalgic for the 1990s. While some of their signature desserts have remained popular since that time, it shouldn’t stop innovation and creativity in its tracks. The quiche look and taste like they’ve been lacquered for a window display, the coffee is less satisfying than what you can find at an Alexela, the service often fully disengaged and an air of stagnation hangs over the space in what could be a romantic nostalgic cloud but instead is rather suffocating. It is now, however, at least inside Solaris, pretty much the only cafe option. Yet I’d still take...
