Peps — Restaurant in Tallinn

We arrived keen for some good food and a drink. We were the only couple there, but that did put a damper on our expectations, but the waiter surely did!! Totally uninterested in us from the start. Gave us menus with a grunt and left us. After a toilet visit and a wander around he came back, no offer for drinks or water, and when my wife asked if he recommended the salmon tatar he just said»no»! Never experienced a more non-with it waiter before! We had to call him over to get some water.( Decided against wine as the mood changed!) Posting as a tourist from Germany: Was excited to try this place out based on ratings and location - unfortunately it was a disappointment. Service was unfriendly and was close to rolling their eyes when I asked if there are nuts in the cake. We wanted to brunch here but immediately switched to only coffee and cake after this first “greeting”.

Upon getting our coffee we were asked to pay immediately so that contributed to us not wanting to stay or order additional either.

Coffee and cake were ok - nothing special. Price was not justified in my opinion.

Location and atmosphere is very nicely done. Unfortunately with such service nothing I can appreciate.

Service was excellent. Thank you for that! They serve table water and nice bread for free. It took a while with our main dishes during Sunday afternoon but it was worth to wait for them. Nice chiken salad with avocado and orange. Chiken main course comes with sweet vegetables. The atmosphere is pop and I have never seen it to be very crowded over there meaning you could almost always get a table. Great coffee and desserts. I would suggest for meeting up one-two friends or to have a Sunday lunch with 3-4 people there. For bigger groups can be a bit tight and kids don't have much to do there tho they...
