Wonderful place to pick up souvenirs of all sorts in Antigua. Lots of vendors, lots of them selling similar things but still ends up being a good amount of variety. Helps if you can speak at least some basic amount of spanish. Read some reviews saying vendors are pushy but I didn't think so at all. They will pitch wares to you when you pass in front of their stalls but all of the ones I passed were incredibly respectful and all the ones I interacted with were very nice even when I ended up not purchasing anything from them. Nice place to do some street shopping. Do not buy items without bargaing. Some of the items can be bargained to 75-50% of the price the shop keepers actually quote. The market and stalls are nice however it is a "hard sell" environment and we felt a ton of pressure from each vendor to purchase. It was exhausting and by the end, we were just anxious to leave.
