One of my favorite malls in Jakarta! Strategically located near Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), this mall has East and West wings packed with various department stores, supermarkets and stores. We have Seibu and Central for the department stores and Ranch Market as well as Food Hall for supermarkets. It has beautiful Alun - alun Indonesia for wonderful Indonesian products. It also has Gramedia on the East Mall near Menara BCA tower. Tons of cool, Instagramable and delicious restaurants are available here as well. Penang Bistro, Remboelan, Fook Yew, Pancious, Yoshinoya, Marugame Udon, Aroma, Baskin & Robins, Haagen Dazs, Grand Duck King, Ippudo, Carls’ Junior, Popolamama, Kafe Betawi, Java Kitchen, Palalada, Wing Stop, are only a few restaurants you can enjoy here! Make sure you have G-Card member to get somw benefits from all of your shopping experience here. It also has beauty salons, kids’ corner, and more. I guess I really love the place indeed. Happy to be back again and again and highly recommended!

Have been coming here since the very beginning (2009) or so. Great F&B selection, great place to walk around, and stores are complete. As for the toilets, many are renovated now and look nice (but not all of them). However, in the last 5-10 years or so it has become too crowded, and full of food delivery people who play with their phone while walking. Another compaint I have is when the mall is closing and all staff goes home, they tend to walk in big groups and laugh very loudly and it is quite a nuisance. They also take up all space in the lift, so no room for customers. In other major malls, staff must take the stairs/escalators and keep their volume down. This needs to be controlled better by building management. Also, the bathroom attendants are too focused on their greetings, therefore neglect to clean the bathrooms properly. The sinks look like they are from KFC/McDonalds (full of meat). Please fix this issue, saying hi and bye to someone using the toilet isn't that important.

Grand Indonesia is a mall in Jakarta. This mall was opened in 2007 by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. In 2007, Hotel Indonesia underwent a renovation. Subsequently, after reopening, the hotel was managed by the Kempinski group and its name was changed to Hotel Indonesia-Kempinski. After undergoing renovations for five years, on 20 May 2009 Hotel Indonesia Kempinski was reopened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The area around Hotel Indonesia has also been developed into a multi-use complex under the name Grand Indonesia which consists of an office building (Menara BCA), an apartment (Kempinksi Residence), and a shopping center (Grand Indonesia). One of the major anchors that has occupied the Grand Indonesia mall is the Japanese department store Seibu, the Thailand Central department store and the cinema with the latest technology CGV Cinemas in collaboration with a Korean company. In addition, there is also a gallery of Indonesian culture called the Rich Indonesia Gallery Grand Indonesia consists of three parts: East Mall, West Mall and a Skybridge which connects the two parts. Skybridge is available on floors 1, 2, 3, 3A, and 5. A food court located at the West Mall with the Foodprint concept on the 5th floor. West Mall Grand Indonesia Shopping Town was opened to the public in April 2007. Grand Indonesia merupakan mal di Jakarta. Mal ini dibuka pada tahun 2007 oleh Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Pada tahun 2007, Hotel Indonesia mengalami pemugaran. Selanjutnya setelah dibuka kembali, hotel dikelola oleh grup Kempinski dan namanya diganti menjadi Hotel Indonesia-Kempinski. Setelah mengalami renovasi selama lima tahun, pada tanggal 20 Mei 2009 Hotel Indonesia Kempinski dibuka kembali oleh Presiden RI Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Areal sekeliling Hotel Indonesia juga dikembangkan menjadi kompleks multi-guna dengan nama Grand Indonesia yang terdiri gedung perkantoran (Menara BCA), apartemen (Kempinksi Residence), dan pusat perbelanjaan (Grand Indonesia). Salah satu major anchor yang telah menempati mal Grand Indonesia adalah department store Jepang Seibu, department store Thailand Central dan bioskop dengan teknologi terkini CGV Cinemas yang bekerja sama dengan perusahaan Korea. Selain itu terdapat pula sebuah galeri budaya Indonesia dengan nama Galeri Indonesia Kaya Grand Indonesia terdiri dari tiga bagian: East Mall, West Mall dan sebuah Skybridge yang menghubungkan kedua bagian tersebut. Skybridge tersedia di lantai 1, 2, 3, 3A, dan 5. Sebuah foodcourt yang terdapat pada West Mall berkonsep Foodprint yang berada di lantai 5. West Mall Grand Indonesia Shopping Town telah dibuka untuk umum pada April 2007.

The mall is huge and fortunately not as crowded as it was before corona19 took reign. I found myself leisurely enjoy walking with the kids there. Usually it was frantically stressful time for me. But mind you, the crowd increasing into the evening and night time. Thus confirming Jakartans to be a late riser *lol Having said the above, parking lot also conditioned as the same as well. The crowd always pile up around the hit/hype restaurant/store, whether drinks or foods. Not necessarily worth your trouble to qeue along, there are many joints to satisfy your thirst and hunger, new and old^^ A neat tip and trick, always keep your stroll in one side of the sprawling mega mall, that is west side from lg up to level 5 - or east side from g to 5 - or the bridge only 🙂

The best place to meet up. Located in central of Jakarta. The mall have many entrance, the mall have two areas (east and west mall). This mall is big and friendly for kids. But it isn't too friendly for elderly which use wheelchair. The lift is too slow and so crowded. There are so many shops, restaurants, coffe shop, saloon and bakery. There is cinema, play ground, ladies parking, two supermarket. The mall is quite complete. You can find fashion, gadget until electronic. Sometimes it takes time to queue for taxi, specially on weekend and rainy day. These mall have event in some period. This mall is one of Jakarta's attraction. People who come from out Jakarta will visit, they also have tourist privilage.

Grand Indonesia is listed as the largest and most magnificent mall. Grand Indonesia Mall divided by 3 parts area, namely West Mall, East Mall and Skybridge which are the links between the two buildings. For those who like culinary tourism or want to fill their stomach after being tired of shopping, there are many restaurants that provide a variety of menus, ranging from the Nusantara menu, seafood, Oriental food, to European food and Western food. My favorite place while visiting GI is Blitz Megaplex. This cinema was located on the 8th floor of West Mall presents a world-class cinema complex consisting of one auditorium or theater, one of which is the Satin Class theater.
