堂吉诃德千千万,就属这一家最烂。Check your receipt for expensive items as they overcharge you and once you pay it takes forever to get your refund. Worst shopping experience in Japan. I came here for a electronic product which was clearly marked 26,500 yen and after going back to the hotel I found out I was charged 3,000 yen more. Thought it was a quick fix so I called the store to arrange a refund. But no no no, it took an hour to get them understand what I'm talking about and arrange the refund. Later I stopped by the store, they told me I have made a mistake because it's supposed to be that amount I paid. The lucky part is I took a picture of it before I bought it- so I showed it to the tax refund person who speaks Chinese ( I'm chinese too and apparently nobody understands english in the store). Then she disappeared for half an hour to get the manager. Then it took the manager half an hour to figure out yes they did overcharge me and to get a key to open the cash box. And it wasn't just refunding the 3000 yen what so ever- it was a whole process where I paid back the tax refund and then went downstairs to cancel my order last night and come back upstairs to do the refund again. The whole refund process took 1.5 with bad attitudes from the refund counter and worst customer experience I ever had in my life. So my suggestion is not to come to this store. Plenty bigger Don Quixioto stores in the area for example great experience at the ones in Asakusa area. Secondly, if yo are buy cosmetics, this store is overpriced. Yes it has almost everything but the experience was just unacceptably terrible. Not even an apology from anybody from this store. While I was waiting, I saw the tax return Chinese staff were yelling at Chinese customers. Seriously you guys are Chinese too and you’re treating your own ppl this way and smiling at non- Chinese ppl? Shame on you!...

Great merchandise but we had two unfortunate events here. I bought several items tax free and non tax free. During the purchase we purchased only one red bull can. 199 yen. We wanted not tax free as my partner was going to drink it. It was scanned twice. One tax free, one not. The next day we went back and asked if we could just get another one free because we were charged for it. For 20 minutes and 3 staff members later no one believed us about being charged twice for the one can. The two lady staff had this strange attitude as if I was lying over a 199 yen can. Giving me strange looks. I mentioned just checking the cameras for the time stamp in our receipt as we were not lying and mentioned we might be late for an appointment so we could come back. They told me it would only take 5 minutes and kept talking amongst themselves. In the end the man gave us the red bull can but at that point for that cost I would’ve rather had that time back. The second event was when I decided to buy a coach bag that was locked away with the rest of the luxury items. There is a counter to buy the luxury items. I waited at the counter and a lady on my left turned towards me and acknowledged my existence but then turned back around to checking a clipboard. A man was to the other side of me using a calculator. I was there for quite some time waiting before I looked around and then I asked if there was anywhere I could receive service. The lady seemed annoyed and asked “for that? There’s a counter downstairs” to my 500 yen mirror. I said I wanted to buy a bag and her attitude changed. She then asked where it was and accommodated my request to buy the bag and I purchased the bag at that counter. Unfortunately as this is a tourist destination I think that the staff aren’t as tourist friendly as all the other Don Quijote’s. I will say that all the other ones I’ve been to have been a good experience. This one does need more improvement...

first of all the line for the tax-free was insane. i even saw a staff yell at a chinese costumer for some random reason even though the costumer didn't understand a thing. the same staff was pushing me out of the way to get stuff from a area then pushed me again just to leave that specific area. there were many counters available and staffs were just looking around instead of actually working and opening another counter so that the que wouldnt be as long. it took me 3 hours to do everything there (eventhough i bought quite a lot) when we went to the second floor to claim our tax the chinese staff were laughing and gossiping at me and my family just because we bought loads of stuff. they thought we couldn't understand them but we're half chinese so we could understand them fully. i didn't want to say anything because it was already very late and i didn't bother. the costumer service was just horrible.

on the other hand, they had loads of stuff in a good price. the place was crowded with people. it was really hard to find things though. but some of their stuff are useless. however i was able to buy tons of snack for my friends and families to bring back home. the plastic bag said we weren't allowed to open the bag but i did it anyways since it was impossible to bring the snacks all the way back since it was packaged horribly. i had to cut open the bags and nicely stuff it in so it would fit my luggage.

personally i wouldn't go back even though they had a ton of stuff. if i were to i would go when i have time to enjoy my shopping so that i wouldn't rush. if you are going to buy only a small amount of stuff there i would recommend not to do tax-free just because it takes forever. it isn't worth the time and effort just for some tiny amount of money returned. the exchange fee wasn't as much as expected but it was decent.

ENJOY YOUR...
