Every time I passed by this place there was a line. They tend to stay open a bit later than the rest of the surrounding stores, so if you wish to avoid the long lines, come a bit later in the evening or test your luck...
I finally caved in and stopped at Naruto Taiyaki after passing by several times. I reckon its usually a good sign if all manner of people; locals and tourists are willing to wait in line a bit... I didn't feel like waiting in the long lines during the day, so I stopped a little bit later on in the evening.
The Taiyaki is pretty hot...not warm! So be a bit on the cautious side when first taking a bite. I got the Apple filled Taiyaki since there was an ad for it outside. I think it might be limited or seasonal? Not sure since I can't read Japanese. Gotta say possibly the best Taiyaki...

We had the sweet potato and custard fish bread. The custard wasnt overly sweet and had the perfect consistency (not liquid nor too thick). The sweet potato was very flavourful. I personally found it very sweet (like candy), but enjoyed it either way. With it being made fresh to order, it was burning hot (great for the winter). Both fillings were completely filled (not a lot of breading). Breading was crispy - perfection.
There are a few seats at the front, but you'll most likely need to stand.

Read more350 yen for a taiyaki? That's clearly a ripoff price to take advantage of tourists. At this price point, the locals won't even go anywhere near it. I bought one anyway just so they can't complain I wasn't a patron when I made this review.
I've eaten here before in the past and I don't remember the price being so outrageous. If you're a tourist and you still find this cheap due to an advantageous exchange rate, go ahead and patronize them. Their taiyaki is actually quite decent still.
But I personally think places like these need to be boycotted by us tourists so as they don't get the idea that we can be taken advantage...
